After rising to fame in the 90s, Victoria Beckham has remained one of the most iconic fashion and beauty trend-setters. Now, the A-lister has stepped out, making the case for a hair trend synonymous with the 2010s: balayage.

The trend

To refresh your memory, balayage is a technique in which highlights are applied freehand, creating a sun-kissed gradient through the hair, with the hair darker at the roots than at the ends. While the technique dates back to 1970s Paris, the ‘lived-in’ look became particularly prominent worldwide in 2010s.

In the Instagram post, which shows Victoria alongside David at an event in Miami, the former Spice Girl sports a taupe-hued silk evening dress. Her long hair is styled in soft romantic waves, falling to the waist. Meanwhile, David sports a classic white tee and black trouser combo, with an ivory knit draped over the shoulders.

“So excited to be here tonight in Miami, celebrating the House of Victoria Beckham at @balharbourshops with my family and friends!” Victoria writes in the caption.

Fans took to the comments section to share their love of the look writing: “You look so beautiful 🤍”, “That dress 🙌🙌 @victoriabeckham stunning 👏🏻”.

How she styled it

Victoria’s hair stylist, Ken Paves, has shared multiple photos of how Victoria has styled the sunkissed style over recent months, from her appearance on the Hollywood Walk of Fame to behind-the-scenes on photoshoots in New York City.
