The Macbeth Hoxton is teaming up with Fresh Hot Pizza at The Fox in Haggerston to put a Portuguese spin on pizza, taking inspiration from Porto’s legendary Francesinha sandwich. The result is a pizza topped with mozzarella, sausage, ground beef and pork belly, finished with a rich, boozy Francesinha sauce made with tomato, garlic, beer and whisky that is as indulgent as it sounds.

If you’re a fan of Lee Tiernan’s cooking, this Sunday is a very important date. As part of the Gozney Local: London series, Lee Tiernan’s FKABAM is returning for one day only at Bambi, the music-led restaurant in London Fields, for a daytime cook out on the terrace using Gozney Dome XL ovens.

The set menu moves through squid ink flatbread with smoked cod’s roe, charred hispi cabbage with oven-grilled lamb rump and fermented shrimp butter, and mapo tofu with crispy potatoes and pickled chillies, finishing on Bambi’s Basque cheesecake with grilled peaches.
