There are plenty of ways to celebrate in London, from giant screens showing every match to Wimbledon menus inspired by the glorious games. Here’s where to get a taste of the Championships.

Whether you’re looking for a quirky tennis-themed cocktail or something to satisfy your sweet tooth, The Ivy Café Wimbledon is the spot going above and beyond. 

The exteriors have been transformed with a pitch-side installation, complete with grass and giant rackets. While inside you’ll find their partnership with Sipsmith in full action, complete with six limited-edition cocktails. Choose from favourites like the Serve it and Smash, a strawberry and mint twist on a classic martini; Game, Set and Match, a floral rose and strawberry spritz; or the alcohol-free FreeGlider Courtside Colins. 

On the dessert front, indulge on the Melting Bombe. Created to look like a tennis ball, it features a crisp white chocolate shell and shortbread, topped with warm strawberry puree, poured to melt.

The Beaumont

Get into the Wimbledon spirit with a refreshing ice-cream sundae courtesy of The Beaumont Hotel in Mayfair. Perfect for cooling down from a long-afternoon in the heat, the sundae is made up of Tahitian vanilla chantilly, English strawberry ice cream and strawberry sauce topped with miniature chocolate tennis rackets – totally adorable.

Bill’s Wimbledon

Head to Bill’s for their Wimbledon menu addition nodding to the Championships’ strawberry heritage. The popular Wimbledon destination will be serving up their own take on a classic Eton mess dessert topped to the nines with strawberries, blueberries, crushed meringue and whipped white chocolate mousse. Order a pitcher of Pimm’s and lemonade to wash it down and you’ve got a recipe for success.

A celebration of the Italian summertime festival ‘Sagra delle Fragole’ and the Wimblebon Championships, Gelupo by Jacob Kenedy will be showcasing a strawberry season. 

Featuring a whole menu dedicated to the humble berry, expect the likes of Eton Mess; strawberry sherbet, a sweet milky strawberry gelato; rice pudding with cinnamon and fresh strawberries; Champagne granita served with whipped cream and fresh strawberries; and wild strawberry sorbet.

Take tennis season up a notch and book yourself in for chef Jonny Lake and master sommelier Isa Bal’s Michelin-starred restaurant, Trivet. The newly launched al fresco lunch menu features a strawberry special too good to resist.  

A twist on traditional British strawberries and cream, it’s made with marinated strawberries with hibiscus and Thai basil and vanilla zéphyr.

Created in partnership with Lanson Champagne, The English Grill at The Rubens will be serving up a Wimbledon-inspired tasting menu dinner created by executive chef Ben Kelliher.

Serving up an ace for Wimbledon, Mariage Frères will be offering a decadent dessert in the form of a tennis ball. Available throughout the Wimbledon season, this ‘tennis ball’ is filled with a soft mara des bois strawberries and pink rhubarb confit, covered in a silky white chocolate ganache flavoured with their signature London in Love tea, sitting on a green ‘court’ of Parisian shortbread.
