Apple TV continues its streak of major TV shows this year with Season 2 of Your Friends & Neighbours, the Jon Hamm starring dark comedy following the exploits of Coop (Hamm), a financier who turns to a life of crime as a suburban thief. The first season was a success (and also ended up spawning the Jon Hamm dancing meme), and this latest outing arrives in April. Ahead of its premiere episode, here’s everything we know so far:

What is Your Friends & Neighbours about?

A quick recap of Season 1: we were introduced to Hamm’s character Coop as he lost his job, not long after finalising his divorce, having been accused of misconduct by a fellow colleague. With his image and career now ruined, Coop ends up taking drastic action and begins to secretly rob his wealthy neighbours to maintain his lifestyle. But of course, this decision ends up becoming more and more dangerous, as his desperate financial fix quickly spins out of control. Coop discovers that the affluent community that he’s started stealing from is filled with secrets of its own. Behind the pristine homes and curated lives are hidden affairs, betrayals and tensions that make each break-in riskier than the last- especially when he becomes a suspect in a murder case. But- spoiler alert- it turns out the murder was Sam (Olivia Munn) staging the suicide of her husband for insurance money.

Season two picks up with Coop continuing his criminal exploits after choosing to turn his back on pursuing a normal life, and promises higher stakes. As he doubles down, things are also shaken up by the arrival of Owen (James Marsden, who joins the cast for Season 2), who apparently deduces exactly what Coop’s secret is: “It’s like Coop getting a best friend and a frenemy and a boyfriend and all of these things at once” Hamm told Esquire. Now that he and his family could be at risk, how far will Coop go to make illegal money?

Returning stars include Amanda Peet, Olivia Munn, Hoon Lee, Mark Tallman, Lena Hall, Aimee Carrero, Eunice Bae, Isabel Gravitt and Donovan Colan.
