Every day in The Handbook office, we’re spoiled with a bounty of fabulous beauty products to test, so we can bring you the best recommendations and insights. When a team member discovers a true beauty treasure, they’ll take it home and use it to the very last drop. Scroll down to see the products we’ve completely used up and already replenished.
“I’m a blush girly and Bobbi Brown’s buttery and buildable formula makes this product one of my staples, Antigua is the best shade, the pinky nude is the perfect colour for all year round.” – Elle, Senior Venue Partnerships Manager
I’ve gone through more pots of the Irene Forte Hibiscus Night Cream than I care to admit, mostly because my skin refuses to sleep without it. It’s rich without being heavy, soothing without leaving me shiny, and somehow makes me look like I’ve had eight hours even when I absolutely haven’t. The texture is dreamy, the results are dependable, and every time I hit the bottom of the jar, I panic-repurchase. It’s my night time non-negotiable, the one product I genuinely miss when I don’t have it. – Tamara, Contributing Beauty Editor
The Summer Fridays Jet Lag Masque has been one of my most-used products this year. The lush, rich cream can be used as a mask or as a facial – or, if you’re like me, make that also neck, hand, etc – moisturiser. The fragrance-free formula caters to sensitive skin and is perfect for replenishing your face after a cold winter’s day out. – Nicole, Senior Graphic Designer
This perfume is so good for the cooler months, and it’s only £12. It’s hard to find in-store (as a few folks have caught on), but if you spot it, I recommend stocking up. – Natasha, Digital Editor
“I spent years trailing moisturisers, trying to find one which didn’t break me out and this is the one! It’s rich without being thin and dries down so I don’t look greasy while offering lasting hydration. Luckily it’s a reasonable price as it’s a holy grail product for me. Plus it makes a great hand cream as it absorbs quicly” – Imogen, Graphic Designer
“Indē Wild’s dewy lip treatment is definitely my favourite lip balm, it just leaves your lips feeling super soft and naturally plump and it’s made with Ayurvedic formulas (plus it’s vegan) which I love.” – Andrea, Contributing Food, Culture & Lifestyle Editor
“I was lucky enough to test some Lumene products for a story last year and was blown away at the quality for such an affordable price point. The Nordic-C Valo Arctic Berry Oil-Cocktail is packed with all the glow givers, from vitamin E to C and fatty acids. I use it under my foundation for extra glow and can confirm it is just as good, if not better, than some serums 3x the price.” – Astrid, Contributing Fashion & Lifestyle Editor
I don’t overdo it with my skincare as I find too much can overwhelm my skin, so I keep it simple. But when I started using this out of pure curiosity for the whole snail trend, I found a true staple. I can tell the difference between mornings where I applied the night before just based on how silky and hydrated my skin is. 10/10 recommend it to everyone (especially those with dry skin). – Mallory, Junior Food & Drink Editor
“A friend introduced me to the Summer Fridays Cherry Lip Butter, and it’s been my go-to ever since. My lips tend to get especially dry this time of year, so I’m always on the hunt for something to combat that. This lip butter feels amazing on, and offers the right balance of glossiness without any stickiness. Plus, it’s subtle yet pretty colour that’s easy to wear everyday.” – Caitlin, Senior Campaign Success Manager
Erborian Centella Crème is my new routine icon. Redness is my primary issue and this formulation dials everything down, calming my skin whilst improving its condition. Increasingly loving K beauty – the tiger grass ingredient in this is a rock star. – Robyn, Managing Director
“I’ll never skip a milky toner in my skincare routine, my skin needs all the hydration it can get. I love the Farmacy one in particular because of its clean and nourishing ingredients including aloe, honey extract and ceramides.” – Kitty, Social Media Manager & Content Creator
