The Best Pizzeria In Europe Has Been Announced, And It’s In London

Can Londoners ever stop thinking about pizza? Well, if that fateful day does come, it’s not today because the best pizza in Europe was just announced, and it just so happens to be on our doorsteps. For the third consecutive year, Napoli on the Road has been named the Best Pizzeria in Europe at the prestigious 50 Top Pizza Europa 2026 Awards, cementing its status as not only one of London’s best pizza spots, but one of the finest anywhere outside Italy.

What is Napoli on the Road

Founded by Naples-born pizzaiolo Michele Pascarella, Napoli on the Road began life in 2016 as a humble Ape Piaggio truck serving pizzas at London’s street markets before opening its first permanent restaurant in Chiswick in 2019. Since then, the brand has expanded to Richmond and, most recently, Soho, bringing Pascarella’s acclaimed Neapolitan pizzas to even more Londoners.

The latest accolade adds to an already remarkable list of achievements. Last year, the restaurant’s Ricordi d’Infanzia pizza – topped with slow-cooked beef ragù, Parmigiano Reggiano DOP fondue, grated parmesan and basil – was named the world’s best pizza by 50 Top Pizza, while Pascarella himself has previously been crowned World Pizza Maker of the Year and Best International Pizza Maker.

In announcing this year’s award, 50 Top Pizza described Napoli on the Road as “one of the most dynamic and influential realities of contemporary pizza in the world.”

The win also means the restaurant now heads into September’s 100 Best Pizzerias in the World awards in Naples as one of the favourites to claim another global title.
