If you hadn’t realised, there’s an Oasis reunion coming in 2025 which has sent OG fans and new-gen enthusiasts of the iconic Manchester bang into a union jack-covered frenzies. If you’re keen to return to your ’90s roots or dip your toe in what is now deemed “vintage” (genuine gasps from the dads at the back) fashion, now is the time. From Adidas zip-ups to Liam-approved faux fur-trimmed parkas, modern iterations to genuine pre-loved pieces from the era, shop our edit of the best Britpop fashion below…

The ’90s have been referenced in so many collections and trends in the last few years and what with Oasis reforming next year after a 15-year-long will-they-won’t-they tease, the look is set to stay.

If you were there the first time, consider taking the trend in restained doses – a khaki Harrington jacket or a pair of colour pop Gazelles, rather than go in with a full-on bucket hat. No one wants to look like a Glasto dad.

Those who have become Oasis fans – or any other Britpop bands – via osmosis (read: being forced to listen to them by their parents) can pull off the look with a little more aplomb, from retro Adidas zip-ups to swag-inducing utilitarian parkas.

Brands that are doing the look well right now are Wales Bonner, from their own brand rugby shirts to their unashamedly’ 90s-inspired collaboration with Adidas. We also love OAS for their retro-fit checked shirts – buttons done up all the way, sleeves down, untucked à la Liam -and Abercrombie, who has a great modish Harrington jacket in store right now.

To capture the vibe of the era, look to some hero pieces that will give you a knowing nod from fellow fans, from the iconic Burberry scarf to a pair of Reebok classics, or an oversized pastel-hued Ralph Lauren shirt that looks borrowed from your dad.

There are some great pre-loved pieces out there too, so check out vintage stores, your local charity shop, Depop and other online thrifters such as Go Thrift and Messina Hembry. And for inspiration? We can’t get enough of the ’90s photos found on Instagram feed Brit_Cult, from pap pics of Liam and Patsy to gig coverage of a young Damon Albarn. Meanwhile, model and Insta star Thomas Meacock and bon fide next-gen Gallagher, Gene, are working the Britpop trend perfectly for 2025.
