‘Tis the season to dress up and we are here for it. As usual, those faithful little squares have provided us with all the inspo we need to get dressed throughout the December diary, from the UK’s Katie Impey in her feather-trimmed twist on classic tailoring, to NYC’s Linh Niller Skvortsova and her high-low mix of cosy knits and high-octane embellishment.

Look 1 – Feather Trims
Influencer Katie Impey AKA The Mum Life Styled consistently nails cocktail dressing and this Christmas party look is no exception. The foundations come from classic tailoring – button-down waistcoat and black trousers – with a twist thanks to a fun kick flare and feather trims. Wrap it all up with megawatt silver accessories. Take the cool girl approach to party dressing like content creator Vanessa Rose’s lace and tailored look. Crystal earrings and a corsage necklace will make the look extra special for the festive season.

Look 6 – High-Octane Embellishments & Low-Key Knits
Finally, we love a look that mixes the high with the low and Instagrammer Linh Niller Skavortsova has nailed with a high-octane embellished skirt and cosy knit combo. We’ve recreated the look with River Island’s sequin slip dress – it’s giving fourth member of The Supremes – and layer over H&M’s soft mohair knit to look like a skirt and win extra cost-per-wear points.
