The Weekend Edit: 27 Ways To Style This Season’s Corsages Look

By Ashling McCloy | 30th March 2023

Looking for something statement-worthy? Bored of traditional floral frocks? Then make way for something bolder as the cool-girl corsage is stealing the show. From neck ties to gowns, 3D blooms are transforming our style, these are the pieces that got us talking…

Our love for the giant flower corsage bloomed back when Sarah Jessica Parker wore the hibiscus Eugene Alexander dress in the first Sex And The City movie. However, today that look has become mainstream thanks to the SS23 catwalks, where designers Prada, Valentino and Bottega Veneta all embraced huge 3D petals. Stylish names such as Hailey Bieber, Naomi Watts and Natalie Portman have all been spotted in flower-adorned numbers by designer Magda Butrym, while Rodarte slip dresses featuring flower corsages have made numerous red-carpet appearances.

Cementing the trend further was the Oscars fashion line-up, which included major A-listers, Halle Berry and Nicole Kidman in florally embellished gowns. Say hello to corsage-core. It’s now officially a thing. Oh and we must include a sartorial nod to Eddie Redmayne’s Valentino suit with the oversized satin rose pin at the Golden Globes.

There is absolutely no surprise that Mango, & Other Stories and Zara have been quick to adopt the rising trend into their most recent collections. While the days grow lighter with the clocks changing and the gardens begin to flower, it’s time to bring spring to our wardrobes with a flourish of beautiful buds and blossoms. Whether you opt for a high-end look or designer homage, corsages are set to be this season’s favourite must-haves…
