The ‘90s staple is firmly back in vogue. This season we’re all about the denim midi skirt. From the classic slim fit to the latest flared style, numerous denim-clad streetstylers have caused the coveted item to sell out everywhere. We’ve found the ones still available with tips on how to wear…

It’s true, the denim midi skirt has caused a serious fashion frenzy. Pieces are flying from shelves within minutes of landing in store. Understandable really, as it’s so easy to wear and goes with everything from your Adidas Gazelles to cowboy boots, your fave sweatshirt to chic tailoring. It is, in fact, the epitome of am to pm dressing, with cool girls everywhere making the super comfy skirt their sartorial go-to.

Many affordable brands, think Mango, Arket and Reserved, can’t keep their shops stocked quick enough, so act fast. And admittedly, a number of our top picks come from our high street faves, including the aforementioned, but also & Other Stories, Cos and H&M. We’re also predicting that the Damson Madder Kaia denim maxi skirt is set to have a waitlist, much like the label’s must-have leopard print jeans.

You could, of course, head to denim icons, Levi’s or Lee, for something truly authentic. Meanwhile, on the designer end, it’s all fishtail and flared hems. Check out Raey, Max Mara and Ganni for some of the most sought-after pieces.

Plus, with summer at whispering distance (we hope), this trend is sticking around for the foreseeable. Spotted on the SS24 catwalks, notably at Ralph Lauren and Jason Wu, we’re planning our denim skirt outfits right now.  With a slogan tee or oversized shirt; trainers or ballet pumps, the options are endlessly fabulous…
