The Handbook
The Handbook

This is not a drill. The British institution that is Fortnum & Mason’s are offering anyone born in the month of October a free, we repeat free, afternoon tea booking this month.

Considered one of the capital’s, if not the world’s, best afternoon teas, you don’t get much more traditional than tea at Fortnum & Mason’s, from the immaculately made finger sandwiches to the pretty turquoise-hued china and the Piccadilly location, whether you live in the capital or travel in, it offers a real ‘London moment.’

The London store have decided to put on the treat for October babies off the back of this year being an absolute wash-out birthday wise – unless your birthday fell before mid-March chances are celebrations have been somewhat watered down or non-existent.

We may still only be able to celebrate with our very nearest and dearest (choose your five wisely) but Fortnum’s are on a mission to spread the joy and create an unforgettable birthday experience for some at least.

Served in the 307-year-old Tea Salon, the award-winning Afternoon Tea has been served up by the iconic store since the 19th century so you can guarantee they have well and truly got it down.

Starting with the all important tiny sandwiches,  delve into the classics, from Rare Breed Hen’s Egg Mayonnaise with Cress to Norfolk Cured Ham with English Mustard; moving into scones served with clotted cream and F&M Strawberry Preserve & Lemon Curd; before finishing with a tier of the prettiest, most Instagrammable selection of individual Pâtisseries. All served with a pot of Fortnum’s famous chai.

Considered one of the capital's, if not the world's, best afternoon teas, you don't get much more traditional than tea at Fortnum & Mason's.

Turns out you really can have your cake and eat it, if you’re born in October at least.

A valid passport or driver’s license is required on attendance. Offer during the month of October only. Terms and conditions apply.
