Summer has officially landed and we couldn’t be more excited to get stuck into all of the al fresco events, floral activations and endless cocktail parties. To help you out, we’ve rounded up the best pop-ups taking over the capital this month, from the highly sought-after Jimmy’s BBQ Club to the return of The Montague’s Beach Bar.

The Beach Bar at The Montague on the Gardens
Fancy a beach experience without the plane fare? This summer The Montague’s Beach Bar has returned, ready for a summer season of unforgettable moments.
Complete with real sand, a beach-hut style thatched roof, palm trees and delicious cocktails, you’ll immediately feel as though you’ve just stepped off a plane and landed in the Bahamas.
Great for groups, the space can host parties up to 160 guests and serves up a BBQ menu including veggie and vegan alternatives. All that’s left to do is grab a cocktail and we’ll meet you at the beach…

Carnaby Street Eat
From a restaurant hopping tour to masterclasses and seasonal menus, Carnaby Street Eat has landed. Partnering with the London Restaurant Festival, Carnaby will be home to a series of immersive experiences throughout June.
Home to over 60 restaurants, bars, pub and cafés spanning more than 30 cuisines, Carnaby boasts something for every palette, from Neapolitan classics at Pizza Pilgrims to small plates from Bar Crispin. With the weather warming up, visit Kingly Court for al fresco dining and a bustling atmosphere.
Expect a series of special menus and promotions running until Thursday 15th across the neighbourhood. Highlights include £5 bao buns from Island Poké when you quote ‘Street Eat’; £5 choricitos a la riojana at Tapas Brindisa; £5 corn dogs from Korean Dinner Party; free rum punch or mocktail when you book and quote ‘Street Eat’ at The Rum Kitchen; and a complimentary cocktail with lunch between 2-4pm at The Life Goddess. Eataly’s Vino Festa
As summer calls, get ready to celebrate in style at Eataly’s Festa, a three-day event dedicated to Italian sparkling wines.
You’ll have the chance to travel to Italy in a heartbeat, speaking with wine experts from iconic vineyards in Italy and wander round the largest selection of Italian wines in the UK.
There’ll be plenty of foodie options too, including dishes such as panino con porchetta – porchetta sandwich; stuzzichini di salumi and formaggi – cheese and cured meat bites; and gelato alla vaniglia con glassa di vino e cantucci – vanilla ice cream with a red wine glaze and catucci biscuit.

Hunza G Pop-Up

On the hunt for a swimsuit for your next vacation? Swimwear label Hunza G has launched its first pop-up in Seven Dials, offering Londoners the chance to get beach-ready in style.
Available to browse at their Seven Dials pop-up store, you can shop everything across their swimwear, beachwear and accessories collections. The space features custom artwork designed by London-based artist Alba Hodsoll, body-diverse mannequins and bespoke curved rails.

The Rizzoli Salon Pop-Up, The Lanesborough
This summer, The Lanesborough has partnered with internationally acclaimed publisher Rizzoli to transform The Library Bar into a literary paradise. Complete with illustrations and books, the space is a cosy chic spot to hide away from the crowded streets outside.
Throughout June, guests-in-residence and day visitors to the hotel have exclusive access and can look forward to themed cocktails and events hosted throughout the month. Upcoming events include a special partnership with The Mayfair Times Literary Festival, taking place from 22nd June to 3rd July. British designer, writer, businesswoman and former fashion model India Hicks will be speaking at The Belgravia Room on Tuesday 27th June at 6pm, to tell the story of her success.


Summer Afternoon Tea at Bentley’s
Throughout the summer season, Bentley’s will be joining in on the British pastime and offering a delicious seasonal afternoon tea.
Expect three delicious layers of treats, from rooftop smoked salmon and Cornish crab sandwiches and homemade scones to delicate patisserie and cakes.

PizzaLuxe x 3 Henrietta Street
There’s always room for a slice of pizza, and where better to get your fix than with PizzaLuxe’s pop-up al fresco restaurant at 3 Henrietta Street.
Located in Covent Garden piazza, grab an Aperol Spritz, a sourdough pizza and you’re in for a perfect afternoon out. Choose from a range of toppings including the classic Bufala, indulgent Cinque Formaggi or the unusual Salmone Bianca.

Beaverbrook’s Hot Air Balloon Dining

Returning for 2023, Beaverbook Hotel’s hot air balloon dining is this summer’s most whimsical al fresco dining experience. This year’s is created in collaboration with luxury table dressers Summerill & Bishop, and will feature six stationary balloons, each beautifully embroidered with magical lover hearts fraing the Italian garden.
Diners will be seated in authentic wooden and wicker ‘baskets’ to get the feel of a real hot air balloon and get to stuck into the hotel’s Japanese menu, from traditional Japanese sandangasane boxes to Yakiniku grilled cuts of meat and fish.
Be quick with booking this one as it’s bound to be the country’s most sought-after al fresco experience.

Baohaus at Neighbourhood
Taking over Neighourhood’s community space this spring-summer is Baohaus by Eddie Huang. The American author, director and chef has been making waves across the pond and lands in the UK for the first time this month, for a 13-week foodie pop-up.
As the name suggests, there’ll be plenty of bao to tuck into, from the Chairman, complete with braised pork belly and haus relish to the Szechuan Lemon Pepper, made with 24-hour brined fried chicken and Szechuan lemon pepper sauce. As well as bowls piled with fried rice and meaty flavours, from the Taiwanese minced pork stew to the poached turkey.

Jimmy’s BBQ Club
Pop-up extraordinaire Jimmy Garcia is back at it again. He’s landed back on the Southbank to host al fresco supper clubs all summer long.
Jimmy’s BBQ Club is a modern riverside interactive BBQ restaurant, home to two bars, a rooftop terrace and private bookable spaces. Book in for the restaurant tasting menu and you can look forward to cooking up a storm on your very one table-side Big Green Egg barbecue.
Menu highlights include the ‘Asparagus Season’, featuring BBQ Wye Valley asparagus, house labneh, Brixton brown butter sourdough crumb and pea shoots; ‘BBQ Beef Bits’, featuring salt beer braised bone marrow and beef cheek Long-Boys doughnut, flat iron yakitori, XO slaw and Southbank Sriracha, roasted over English Applewood from the London Log Co; and the ‘Milk and Honey’ dessert of featuring a Wild London honey and lavender panna cotta, Maldon sea salt shortbread, raspberry, caramelised figs and flowers.

Bloom & Dinner at Ormer
Ormer Mayfair by Sofian has teamed up with luxury florist Moyses Stevens to host a series of flower-arranging workshops throughout the summer.
Running every Thursday, the afternoon will begin with a floristry workshop at the Moyses Steven atelier, which will see you on your way to creating a classic hand-tied bouquet arrangement using fresh seasonal florals and greenery.
Following the class, you’ll head to Ormer Mayfair by Sofian for a seven-course menu championing British seasonal produce curated by executive chef Sofian Msetfi. Dishes include Sicilano tomato with peas, broad beans and vanilla’ roast Anjou pigeon with mushroom and lime; and caramelia and malt gateaux with honey vinegar and barley ice cream.

London Restaurant Festival
Shining a light on London’s dynamic culinary scene, London Restaurant Festival returns for a full month of foodie events taking place across the city.
There’ll be over 50 events spread across the festival, with highlights including the Four-Legged doggy brunch at Smith & Wollensky; an Italian evening at Brunello Restaurant’ and a pasta masterclass at Burro E Salvia.
The festival is running in partnership with American Express and the ‘Top Ten Cuisines’ series certainly has us invested, with events celebrating London’s diverse food scene. Hosted by chefs Alex Webb, Jun Tunaka, Asma Khan and Tom Cenci, it’s one to look out for.

Wellness at Sky Garden
Head to London’s highest green oasis this summer to soak up its newest morning wellness programme. Created in collaboration with TruBe Fitness, classes will be running throughout the summer season.

The Bubbly Show by Searcys
Taking place in the stunning surroundings of the historic 10-11 Carlton House Terrace this June, The Bubbly Show by Searcys is this summer’s hottest event to book if you’re a fizz lover.
Curated in partnership with Honest Grapes wine club and The Spectator Club, Searcys’ Bubbly Show will be making its debut from Friday 23rd to Saturday 24th June, featuring a series of exhibitors from Champagne houses and English sparkling wine producers. The two-day event will stretch across the stunning Grade I listed venue and will see fizz aficionados get stuck into everything from tastings and talks to masterclasses and even the chance to try their hand at sabrage.

The Athenaeum’s Floral Installation
Created in partnership with Haute Florist, The Athenaeum has been transformed for the summer season. The exterior of the building has been adorned with seasonal luxury blooms nodding to the Coronation of King Charles III.

Whispering Angel x Fenchurch Restaurant
For a ticket to London’s pinkest terrace, look to Fenchurch Restaurant at Sky Garden and their rosé partnership with Whispering Angel. They’ve teamed up to create the hottest springtime sipping spot, complete with stunning florals, breathtaking views over London’s skyline, a delicious sharing menu from head chef Kerth Gumbs and, of course, rosé.
