The music scene in London is one of the liveliest in the world, and this coming year is going to see several major acts. With some of the biggest artists embarking on European tours, Londoners have no shortage of options when it comes to concert-going. We give you the largest acts gracing our lovely city in the coming months. From pop to rock to indie, the choices are overwhelming, so regardless of your favorite genre, there is something out there for you to enjoy.
The Black Eyed Peas
The Black Eyed Peas are coming to London this fall on their Master of the Sun Tour, and concert goers are sure to be in for a night of rocking out. While Fergie is no longer a part of the package, the Black Eyed Peas’ music is as dance-inducing as ever. This is sure to be a performance full of blaring sounds, incredible graphics and screaming fans. Wear your dancing shoes- ‘Boom Boom Pow’ definitely requires comfortable footwear.

Taking over the festival circuit in the past year, including a critically acclaimed performance at Coachella, electronic music duo ODESZA is hitting new heights. Luckily, London will get to experience their multi-sensory performance tendencies when they bring their A Moment Apart Tour to Europe in early 2019. Do not miss this- their music combines with an incredible light show that is sure to be a completely new experience for even the most dedicated fan.

It’s Britney, B!&%$. The pop icon is coming back to London on her Piece of Me Tour, and you don’t want to miss the perfect way to finish the summer. Spears is sure to perform her new music from album Glory alongside the absolute classics you can’t live without during her three-night stint in town. Pitbull will also be performing with the icon, so why would anyone in their right mind miss this chance?!

Another pop icon is headed to London this year. Ultimate diva Mariah Carey will be at the O2 for her All I Want For Christmas Is You Tour, performing her greatest hits mixed with Christmas classics, Mariah-style. Whether you want to get in the season’s spirits or are just a die-hard Carey fan, the concert will not disappoint.

Florence And The Machine
When we thought Florence And The Machine couldn’t get any better, she came back with High as Hope and we can’t wait to hear it at the O2 when, the band who were formed in South London, bring it home for two nights of great music. The haunting vocals and killer beats that made them a worldwide hit cannot be missed, so secure your tickets now.

Irish rock band U2 is coming home to the UK in October for two nights at the O2. The Experience + Innocence Tour has two acts with a brief intermission, full of interesting lighting and newer music. Some segments are the show are exact replicas of the Innocence + Experience Tour, but that should not deter fans from coming out. The entire show carries a message of intimacy, and concertgoers will feel like they are really being shown into the band’s inner thoughts.

There is even more live music for rock fans to enjoy! Steven Tyler is headed to London in August. Although he won’t be joined by the rest of Aerosmith, Nashville’s Loving Mary Band will be on hand to get fans rocking out. The tour has a decidedly country mood to it, but Tyler’s fans from the beginning will not be disappointed. All of his hits will be staged, and he is known for making every performance count.

Shania Twain time. With a new album just dropped, the Canadian superstar is ready to rock on her Shania Now Tour. She has two shows in early October at the O2, and they are guaranteed to be a great time. With incredible costumes, back-up dancers and a soulful voice, Twain never disappoints. She is the best-selling female artist in country music history- no chance you should be missing that. ‘Man, I Feel Like A Woman,’ performed live? Count us in.

Another London-born act: Jessie J is returning home. She got her start on the West End, but Jessie is now one of the biggest names in pop music. The R.O.S.E Tour will take her to Royal Albert Hall for one night only in November, so don’t miss your chance to dance it out to favorites like ‘Domino’ and ‘Price Tag’ and tons of new music. Jessie is sure to strut with confidence and attitude while wearing incredible costumes, so don’t miss an incredible stage show.

If you are a fan of younger, more alternative rock, look no further than the Good Charlotte concert this February at Alexandra Palace. The band has been steadily releasing new music all year, and their show is sure to be full of old favorites and new jams. Good Charlotte is not known for their political correctness, so be prepared for a show full of social commentary and criticism of American issues like the drug crisis- after all, the tour is named ‘Generation RX.’

You can’t miss when the king of Christmas carols makes his way to London! Josh Groban will be at the O2 with his angelic voice and songs from his 2007 album, Noël. Lest we forget that Groban is a pop artist as well, the tour actually centers around his new album ‘Bridges’. American Broadway star Idina Menzel will be at all his American performances, so fingers crossed we are blessed with her voice joining him as a duet on this side of the pond, as well.

British singer Lily Allen has a new album, ‘No Shame,’ prompting a worldwide tour that ends with two banging shows in London. Don’t miss her December performances at Roundhouse, where you will get to dance to all of the dance-y tunes with big social messages she is famous for. Known for being outspoken in her music and in her words, Lily is sure to deliver quite the show to wrap her tour up with a bang.
