Can you believe it’s October already? Like seriously, I feel like I blinked the entire summer away… Either way though, the arrival of October means it’s officially spoooooky month! Eek! Horror fuelled festivities aside, it’s (almost) the weekend so expect to fuel yourself with mini martinis and just about every other cocktail under the sun. It’s London Cocktail Week after all, so let’s cheers to the freakin’ weekend!

Jeff Wayne's The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience

The 31st of October has always been a rather haunting date, whether it’s ghouls flying around causing mischief or the dead coming back to ridicule the living, but for us Brits, the date this year changes our whole world completely. So, you’ve managed to survive months of Brexit negotiations, how about challenging yourself to something even more frightening? Put your nerves to the test and embrace all things apocalyptic at the End of The World Weekend at Jeff Wayne’s The War of The Worlds: The Immersive Experience, running 31st October until 2nd November in Central London.

It’s an immersive experience like no other, combining immersive theatre, virtual reality, holograms and pyrotechnics – all, of course, set to HG Wells’ haunting Victorian tale and Jeff Wayne’s iconic musical work. You’ll be thrusted into the story from the moment you step inside the multi-level site. Kick off the weekend with the ultimate Brexit party inside their steampunk themed restaurant and bar as it’s transformed into the ultimate toast to our political Armageddon, with the DJ belting out end of the world classics (wonder if the R.E.M tune will make a special appearance?). Or whizz over on the weekend to trick or treat yourself to one of the epic after-parties. There’s prizes for the best dressed…
