5 Teas To Try This Autumn
At The Handbook we’re basically afternoon tea whores. Point us toward a tea and we’ll hoover it up. Bottomless? No problem, we’ll find that bottom. So we’re always watching, eagle-eyed, for any afternoon teas on the horizon. So here are a handful we’re pretty excited about right now.
Dalloway Terrace
Instagrammar’s favourite, Dalloway Terrace . has transformed itself into an enchanting autumnal woodland with cascading amber, burnt orange, soft pink and red leaves and tumbling berries and with it they have created a new afternoon tea. On the menu you’ll find spiced apple cake with cinnamon glaze, a Granny Smith and whisky mousse with a milk chocolate ganache and golden raisin scones with clotted cream, raspberry jam and Jersey black apple butter.

Savage Garden
Afternoon tea gets a little savage at this 7 Pepys Street location. That’s right, Savage Garden will play host to white tablecloths and finger sandwiches, for an afternoon with a difference amongst the decadent interiors. Savage Tea begins with daring savouries and will include sweet potato sliders with coriander yoghurt, spicy peanut crumb and red onions or enjoy rare roast beef with fiery wasabi sandwiches. The tea is sure to rustle up your sense with its daring flavours and the ability to add some G to your tea with Forbidden Fruit cocktails, finished off with savage scones loaded with clotted cream and jam and a dark finale, to match Savage’s theme, of black tea choux cake, cherry and coconut laminations and dark chocolate crémeux spheres.

In the running for London’s cutest tea, the world famous hotel celebrate of the golden anniversary year of The Tiger Who Came to Tea with a tea that’s perfect for children. The menu will be available over two sittings Monday to Friday.
