5 Top Winter Cinemas

One of things we love about Christmas is the fact that you can sit and watch films all day and no one can judge you, it’s pretty much in the Christmas guidebook – ‘watch an inordinate amount of films’ . If you can manage to peel yourself off the sofa then head to one of these top winter pop-up cinemas, with gourmet pop-corn, mulled wine, Canada Goose coats and Moncler blankets – these cinemas are truly special and will leave you full of  festive cheer. 

Hush

Bond Street (0.3 miles)

What: Classics in the Courtyard

Why: Mayfair restaurant, Hush are transforming the courtyard every Saturday evening into an outdoor winter cinema showing the likes of Love Actually, Frozen and Magic Mike. If the thought of spending any time outside right now has you running for your bed then don’t worry they have cosy blankets to wrap up in and if that doesn’t tempt you there are winter cocktails and free gourmet popcorns! Every Saturday until 27th February 2016

20th Century Theatre

Notting Hill Gate (0.7 miles)

What: Cinema in the Snow

Why: Take a step through the magical wardrobe door and step into a cinema filled with real snow – well we can’t really rely on London weather can we? With several showings of the likes of Elf and Love Actually throughout the day there is no reason to miss out on this festive cinema – especially when there are brownies and hot chocolate too! 11th -23rd December 2015

Harvey Nichols

What: Canada Goose Cinema

Why: Be quick this cinema has its final showing this Friday! Harvey Nichols have teamed up with Canada Goose – you know those deliciously warm coats, to host a bespoke series of film showings. The evening begins at 7pm with complimentary cocktails and Canadian inspired canapes before the film starts at 7:30pm, to keep the cold at bay you’ll be given Canada Goose coats to wear! Then of course when you realise you can’t go another winter without one you can just pop down to Harvey Nichols to buy your own! Until 4th December 2015

The Hoxton, Holborn

What: Merry Movies

Why: A newcomer to the Christmas cinema, The Hoxton, Shoreditch and The Hoxton, Holborn will be showing Merry Movies in The Apartments! They’re showing classics such as Home Alone and The Nightmare Before Christmas and every ticket includes a Christmas cocktail and a bag of Joe & Seph brandy butter or mince pie flavoured popcorn! 5th -27th December 2015

The Berkeley

Hyde Park Corner (0.3 miles)

What: A private rooftop cinema

Why: Get together five of your nearest and dearest this Christmas and head to The Berkeley’s rooftop cinema which has just six seats! Snuggle up under Moncler blankets with a glass of wine or hot chocolate in one hand and a hot water bottle in the other. You can also order canapes and mince pies – it’s the ultimate in luxury cinema!
