Just a few minutes’ walk from the noise of Hyde Park is a different kind of wonderland. The May Fair Hotel’s Spa has new treatments for the festive period, a Holly Jolly Christmas Facial to plump skin with an enzyme peel and a soothing Rose Quartz crystal massage. But why just have one treatment when you can have 3? The Winter Wonderful is 1 hour 50 minutes of body wrap, hot stone massage and anti-ageing eye treatment.

Martini and manicure
The three storey So Spa at Sofitel London St James’ have added two festive packages to their menu for December and early January. So Noel is a 60 minute personalised facial or massage and 45 minute martini and manicure, and Xmas at So Spa is made up of three individual 30 minute treatments – massage, facial and manicure or pedicure, followed by a champagne afternoon tea.
The night before or the morning after
If the only thing that makes being hungover worthwhile is being pampered then save the treatments for the day after your party. COMO Shambhala Urban Escape have a range of festive treatments but our favourite is the Morning After to rejuvenate with a steam and foot massage for high heel-weary feet. Prefer to go The Night Before? This package will get you party ready with a facial and manicure. Men are welcome too so book in for the Under the Mistletoe one in a double treatment room.

If you can’t even think about taking time out from your pre-Christmas schedule why not save it for January. The Corinthia Hotel are offering a January Detox Day Spa to erase any lingering traces of excessive partying; a detoxifying body cleanse, skin purifying facial and lunch in the Spa Lounge will be very welcome in the early days of 2016.
