Bake ON: It’s National Cake Week!
It’s the first week of October which can only mean one thing – Paul Hollywood is lucratively giving out his famous handshake on Bake Off…oh, and it’s National Cake Week! Founded by Lynn Hill in 2011, it’s a time to let the sweet tooth come out to play, if only for a week, and indulge at some of our favourite cake haunts.

Violet Cakes
A certain newly-wed royal couple are huge fans of Violet Cakes; to the point where they asked owner Claire Ptak to create the cake for the royal wedding – no kidding! It’s an ideal spot to pick up an American-style bake, that started as a market stall on Broadway Market. Cakes are baked with organic and low intervention ingredients, and we can confirm they taste delicious!

Peggy Porschen
Peggy Porschen has seen many an influencer adorn its exterior to pose for a quick insta-snap. The enticing location has an outside as pink as the icing on the cakes, and a vibrancy like no other that goes hand in hand with chilled Champagne and a slice of something sugary. For cupcakes galore and the occasional unicorn cake, Crumbs and Doilies are the one for you.
