Home away from home
When the clock strikes 12 for lunchtime, The Little Blue Door is hosting lunch roasts for guests that want to come together. It’s a weekly social event that turns strangers into friends, and friends into family, because you’ll be hanging out with them all day. Piping hot lunch will be served in three servings throughout the day, and afterwards everyone is invited to play board games or pool tournament, or even have weekly movie afternoons.

Calling all Hackney-locals
It’s the launch of a Hackney local supper club hosted by professional chef Aidan Brooks, a self-funded collaboration as a passion project for the community to give back to his home town. With his local connections, Brooks is bringing people together to serve courses sourced from locally produced ingredients, and unorthodox drink pairings. A portion of the profits from the dining table will also be donated to several charities.

Shake Shack is celebrating it’s 5 Year UK Anniversary with a summer BBQ exclusive, one-day-only feast at the new Mansion House Shack. It’s of a limited-edition menu in collaboration with Billy Durney of Hometown Bar-B-Que, and they’ll be serving: Hometown Shack, Shake Shack’s custom-blend Aberdeen Angus beef patty; Hometown Fries, some crinkle-cut fries; and Smoked Caramel Bourbon Shake, a vanilla frozen custard with smoked caramel and bourbon. My mouth is watering for this. And 100% of the profits will be donated to the #BakeForSyria campaign. How cool is that?

Kosher Fine Dining
As the leading London caterer and innovator for Kosher dining experience, Food Story is launching their first ticketed event: SOCIAL. 35 lucky diners can book to take part in a true Chef’s Table experience, served by Executive Chef David Swann. Funnily enough, Chef Swann has also been working at The Fat Duck. It’ll be a seven-course tasting menu of his most exciting dishes yet, and the guests being treated to champagne and canapés on arrival. Dishes will include the likes of chicken parfait with crispy skin & mandarin gel, 36-hour beef short-rib with smoked bone marrow and pistachio parfait with frozen blackcurrant tart. YUM! You wouldn’t want to miss this experience.

Sshh... We're having a garden party
Mr Lyan and Doug McMaster’s Cub is going to be hosting a Secret Garden Supperclub Series at mystery locations across the city throughout the summer. How mysterious… and exciting! It’ll be a secret garden party for a select people in the know. Guests will know the postcode of the dinner when booking but will only find out the exact location the day before. The focus is supporting and giving back to the community around them, so the Cub team will be using hyperlocal produce grown on site for each of the menus – making every dinner unique.

Michelin Restaurant serving exclusive Supper Club
Award-winning restaurant Alyn Williams will be hosting an exclusive five-course supper club complete with paired wines from renowned English winemakers, Nyetimber. Having one Michelin Star along with four AA Rosettes, they are offering an alternative to the traditional Michelin starred meal that’s usually held in the restaurant’s stunning private dining rooms, but now will offer the opportunity to enjoy an evening of sublime food and drink in a relaxed, communal setting. Alyn Williams himself will be on hand to talk through his inspiration for the menu, which will be kept a surprise until the evening. It’s an elegant dinner for those craving a taste of the Michelin experience.

It's a deli-sandwich-light!
A horrible word play should not deter you from what Hellmann’s is bringing to London this summer. I love a good sandwich, whatever’s inside it, as long as it has mayonnaise, and I look forward to this deli pop up. Two world-renowned and award-winning deli owners are coming to London to serve up their legendary sandwiches at a three-day pop-up: Ike’s Love and Sandwiches, which has over 40 sites across California, and Mogg, whose reputation proceeds itself as a foodie institute on the Berlin culinary scene. All proceeds being donated to Action Against Hunger. They are also launching a six-month ‘Real Food Tour’ that will travel across the country to support food entrepreneurs.
Mogg will be serving on Thursday, 19th July, while Ike’s will start serving on Friday, 20th July and Saturday, 21st July.
Cooking classes with your child
UK’s No.1 children’s cookery author Annabel Karmel will be launching a six-week residency at Bluebird Café. She will be serving an exclusive menu collaboration around her new book “Real Food Kids Will Love” with a selection of dishes from the book (published on 28th June), forming a nutritious and inspiring menu specifically designed for Bluebird Café’s family diners. She will also be hosting a children’s cooking classes with Executive Chef Simon Gregory teaching from 2pm-4pm at a maximum of 15 spaces each.

J Sheekey Supper Club with Guest Chefs
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, J Sheekey Atlantic Bar has announced its second season of its guest chef series, this time hosting some of the most celebrated food writers and chefs in the UK, accompanied by Executive Head Chef Andrew McLay to create a one-off menu for up to 50 guests. Each chef will also give a rare insight into their respective approaches and methods, as they discuss their philosophies with diners after the meal. Plymouth Gin will return to serve cocktails as well. Guests include Lisa Markwell, Rose Prince, and Lisa Faulkner. If you are not able to make it, don’t worry! For those who are not able to book tickets to any of the suppers themselves, a signature dish from each event will be featured on the J Sheekey Atlantic Bar menu for several weeks after, alongside a special Plymouth Gin cocktail that will pair with each signature dish.

A marriage between Britain and Italy
Feeding Londoners a true taste of Sicily, Strazzanti sisters Emilia, Nina and Sofia are collaborating with Hackney City Farm’s café, Frizzante, to host the first in a series of Sicilian inspired supper clubs that mashes British and Sicilian ingredients. Strazzanti will be working with east London suppliers and businesses for the English ingredients; the evening will start with classic arancini of spinach and mozzarella and a welcome cocktail from Our London Vodka, next will be the antipasti and sharing platters, and in true Italian style, a pasta course. For dolce, Strazzanti will set up a whole dessert station featuring their famed pastries and cakes, including their pistachio and lemon cake. Guests will become acquainted with their neighbours for the evening in homage to the family values at the heart of Strazzanti, and of course Italy’s, culture.
