So, if you’re ready to rumble at Margarita’s 80th birthday, or if you’ve been hankering after a Sophie Hulme handbag ever since LFW, then read on and thank us later…

Sample These Sample Sales
Sample sales are a total life saver, designed for the credit card burners and shop ’til you drop-ers amongst us. For those who don’t know, a sample sale is when retail businesses discard excess merchandise and sell it for a much cheaper price, so all in all everyone’s happy! That Marc Jacobs Fluoro Bag you’ve always harped on about? Sample sale. Craving a bit of Balenciaga? Sample sale. Ready to fight for those coveted Diesel denims? Sample sale. However, it goes without saying that if you’re a sample sale virgin as some reading this may be, then you need to smarten up before you go into battle.
First off, be wary about sizes. Sometimes samples have been fit to a specific model so it’s good to try before you buy and all that jazz. Secondly, look for imperfections. Weird suggestion? We think not. Imperfections such as rips and loose buttons could help you land a tasty discount. Yes, yes we know, it’s already a sale but hey, who doesn’t love a haggle? Finally, be strategic about timing. When it comes to in-store sample sales, you can often save a penny or two when shopping during the final hours.
That leaves us little else to say but shop ’til you drop, dear sample sale fiends…

Nestled in the loft of The Alfred Tennyson of all places, the rugby extravaganza is snug in Kensington and will see ruggers fanatics enjoying the likes of beef and guinness pie, served with colcannon and whiskey gravy, gulped down with the help of a selection of wines, beers, Guinness and a specially curated cocktail menu, using Roe & Co.
