What to Do This Weekend: 3rd-5th June
The weekend is in sight! It may have only been a four day week but that doesn’t mean that we aren’t looking forward to our two days off just as much! Brunch is of course a staple of any weekend and this week we have three new ones for you to try out as well as a Japanese supper club, punk exhibition and three days of polo and parties – we think that’s something for everyone there!
Fowl Mouths
Japanese Supper Clubs
Japanese cuisine and comfort food were two things that we didn’t tend to put together, but that was until we were introduced to Fowl Mouths the Japanese comfort food specialists. Following on from stints at The King & Co, The Lido Café and St David Coffee House, they’re now heading The Table Café in Southwark for a month of weekly supper clubs starting this Friday. The four course menu will showcase signature dishes such as Kara-age chicken with wasabi coleslaw and chocolate sesame balls with matcha ice cream.

Coin Laundry's New Brunch
70s Inspired
We love being able to add a new brunch offering to our repertoire and this week Coin Laundry are joining the brunch crew with the launch of their bottomless brunch. Keeping to their 70s theme the dishes will range from the likes of sausage and onion baps and sweet banana pancakes to asparagus quiche and sardines on toast. Add in bottomless cocktails and say hello to the weekend!

Boozy brunch in the sky
Copious amounts of alcohol and high places usually aren’t a good combination, but it doesn’t get much better than bottomless brunch at Kojawan, on the 23rd floor of the Hilton Metropole. We’re talking unlimited Bloody Mary’s, Grey Goose Cosmopolitans, Kirin beer and Chateau Fontainebleau wine as well as a combination of Korean, Japanese and Taiwanese food such as BIBIMBAP with beef sirloin, egg, mushrooms and beef tea or a stack of pancakes served with blueberries and maple syrup.

When it comes to unique and exciting sights, sounds and smells there’s not many places better than Istanbul. Polo in the Park
Stomp Those Divots
Three days of polo and partying will return to Hurlingham Club tomorrow with the start of Chestertons Polo in the Park – the largest polo (and most fun) tournament in Europe. Teams from around the world will play including an England international match on Friday. Don’t worry if divots and chukkas mean nothing to you, there is plenty of partying and eating to be done too. The likes of Kurobuta, Hix, Le Bun and Ceru will be providing food and Pimms, Mahiki and Fentimans will all have bars too.

Whether you went to the polo or not that doesn’t mean you can’t attend an after party. On Friday and Saturday Bodo Schloss will be making sure everyone gets, well…schlossed. Head for supper first or rock up at 11pm and dance the night away. Then head back to the polo on Sunday for the Mahiki brunch. Excellent plan.

4 Days of Partying
Every birthday needs to be celebrated and we say the bigger the better. So do Pop Brixton who are celebrating their 1st birthday with four days of partying starting today. Across the weekend there’ll be a birthday feast featuring all of their vendors including the likes of Viet Box, Made of Dough and Kricket; a free Prohibition birthday ball (get into spirit and don your 1920s dress); a day of shopping on Sunday and the main event on Saturday – 12 hours of live music and dancing! Sounds like it’s going to be a very happy birthday indeed.
