As Negroni week is nearly upon us, its only fair we direct you to some of the bars across the capital serving up quirky, flavoursome and out-of-the-ordinary concoctions in a bid to twist-up the classic. Taking place from the 4th-10th of June, Negroni week provides the ideal excuse to pop for some post-work drinks and enjoy evenings out, sampling takes on the classic gin, Campari and sweet vermouth favourite.
The Silent Negroni
Made of Jim Beam Kentucky straight bourbon, sweet vermouth and campari, Gillray’s have got their Negroni week off to a very strong start with their mix of ingredients. Coined the Silent Negroni, the hangover will do the talking.

The Strawberry Ice-Cream Negroni
A real nod to sunnier climes, the Strawberry Ice Cream Negroni by Coin Laundry is reminiscent of childhood summers, mixing fresh flavours using beefeater gin, campari, dolin dry vermouth, monin and, the key ingredients, strawberry syrup, strawberry ice cream, all garnished with a pink grapefruit slice. Definitely one for those with a sweet tooth..
The Sami Negroni
Aster’s location provides an idyllic post-show sip, with Hamilton The Musical on its doorstep. This Negroni week, the Sami Negroni will be the star of the show, mixing vidda gin, marka bitter, dubonnet and mondino.
The Classic Negroni
As part of Negroni Week, Osteria is hosting a series of masterclasses based around the famed tipple. To begin? The classic negroni itself, with campari, sweet vermouth, gin and topped off with the orange we know and love. Following on from this, cocktails will consist of the sbagialto negroni, amore rosa negroni and estate Italian negroni.
No Negroni Without Campari
Did someone say free Negronis? Brixton’s Shrub & Shutter is serving up classic negronis, as Italy’s iconic bittersweet apéritif, Campari, partners with some of London’s hot-spot bars to give Negroni fanatics the chance to sample a Negroni on the house, on the first day of Negroni Week. All customers must do is utter the phrase “no negroni without campari”, and you can sip the night away.
The Roman Refreshment
Adding a bit of spice to the mix, Bunga Bunga have introduced their Roman Refreshment for negroni week, featuring – ready for this? – a blend of bacardi ocho, campari infused with cardamom seeds & orange peel, cocchi vermouth amaro rosso, strained through coffee beans and topped with a cinnamon powder, orange peel and a negroni jelly garnish. Now that’s a drink filled to the brims with flavour.
