4 Magical Ways To Kick-Off The Festive Season

This November, Mount Street Neighbourhood is turning up the festive charm with a three-day celebration that captures the magic of the season in true Mayfair style. Kicking off on Thursday, 20th November, with The Connaught tree lighting, the neighbourhood will be buzzing with the scent of mulled wine, sparkling festive shop windows, and plenty of holiday cheer.

Think mince pies in hand, twinkling lights overhead, and boutiques like Toteme and Mount Street Printers staying open late for a little after-hours shopping. With seasonal drinks, thoughtful gifting, and plenty of festive spirit, it’s the perfect way to start the holidays on one of London’s most iconic streets. Here’s what The Handbook team is looking forward to the most this year at A Merry Mount Street.
1. Watch your favourite Christmas films
Settle in for a dose of festive nostalgia as Grosvenor Chapel transforms into the cosiest cinema in Mayfair for a series of screenings of beloved Christmas classics. We’re talking all our favourites from Love Actually, to the timeless It’s a Wonderful Life, and of course, it’s not Christmas if you don’t laugh (and cry a little) with Home Alone. Plus, each screening comes with a festive treat box from Farm Shop (think indulgent seasonal nibbles to enjoy as you watch), with every ticket going towards supporting the local homeless kitchen initiative, to spread a little extra warmth this holiday season.

Is it even Christmas if you don’t watch Home Alone and Love Actually? And at this beautiful location, it’s going to be so much more special.

2. Witness The Connought’s annual Christmas tree reveal

Kick off the holiday season in style as The Connaught unveils its annual Christmas tree and festive lights. This is one of Mayfair’s most enchanting festive traditions, and the grand reveal of The Connaught’s artist-designed Christmas tree is a masterpiece that transforms the neighbourhood into a Christmas postcard. The Christmas tree reveal will take place at 6:30 pm on 20th November – you don’t want to miss this glorious moment.
There’s nothing that says Christmas quite like a long lunch with friends, a glass of something sparkling, and a table full of delicious food. I can’t wait to see Mount Street buzzing with that festive energy again.

3. Enjoy delicious festive food & drink
Mince pieces? Check. Mulled wine? Check. Masala chai? Yes, please. The iconic Indian restaurant Jamavar will open its cosy winter terrace and serve masala chai, mulled wine and cookies. Ladurée will have its signature hot chocolate on offer, as well as some gorgeous Christmas macaron boxes.
You can also shop their Advent calendar – dressed in white and gold, you can look forward to 24 gourmet treats inside that can take you from chocolate pearls to langues de chat biscuits and even a dulcey marshmallow bear. The much-loved Farm Shop will also offer a curated selection of limited-edition goods and seasonal hampers that are just what you need to get into the Christmas spirit.
Farm Shop is easily my favourite place on Mount Street—it’s always inviting, but during Christmas, the decorations make it feel even more special and festive.

4. Shop for beautiful Christmas gifts
Stop by Christian Louboutin’s canelé cart for a sweet treat, or warm up with vegan hot chocolate and winter warmer tea at the Tease Cart outside the store. Inside Bremont, enjoy rum and chocolates while you shop, or join the Christmas sing-along at the South Audley Street store. Over at Misela, artist Diana Maclean will be personalising pieces with live painting customisations, while Sisley will have their limited-edition advent calendar designed in collaboration with Luke Edward Hall available to shop.
Plus, Bamford will serve frizzante, kombucha, and festive bites in store, which you can enjoy while you shop for gorgeous beauty and homeware products that will make ideal stocking fillers. For the high fashion lovers, Oscar de la Renta will host a champagne reception on the 20th of November as part of their pre-spring 2026 trunk show.

Luxury florists Neill Strain will be presenting their beautiful festive edition Petite Couture Candle Gift Sets, complete with personalised candle engraving, and you can get yourself a complimentary posy if you buy one of their stunning wreaths.
For evening shoppers, boutiques will remain open until 7pm, and you can pop down to explore some lovely tailored gifting services, seasonal drinks, and thoughtful in-store moments throughout the evening.
I absolutely love Christmas shopping and I can’t wait to head down to Mount Street to shop for gifts – it’s the perfect place for it.
