8 New December Openings We’re Excited For

London’s December chill has a way of sharpening appetites, and this year the city has a host of new foodie spots ideal for cosy winter dinners or lingering lunches over the holidays. From a buzzy new dim-sum spot to a Turkish dining destination in Mayfair, these are the new openings we’re excited for this December:
Chargal
Chargal is set to be a new three-storey Turkish dining destination from Serdar Demir of Knightsbridge’s The Mantl, which brings together modern, fire-led cooking with Mayfair elegance. At the refined ground-floor dining room, you can enjoy dishes such as wagyu iskender, pulled lamb hummus and sucuk “candies,” or head to the first-floor mezze bar where you can enjoy cocktails alongside sharing plates.

Fuego at Arros QD
Fitzrovia’s open wood-fire restaurant Arros QD is opening a new bar, Fuego, that’s set to be a dimly lit, warm space that celebrates the restaurant’s passion for fire and smoke. The cocktail list reimagines classics through a smoky lens, from the Fuego Negro—a bourbon-led mix with cacao bitters and orange zest smoked over apple wood. Or try Sol Y Humo, lifted with red vermouth, grapefruit and smoked paprika syrup, finished with cava. A modern snack menu rounds out the experience, including a “Socarrat” rice cracker that turns a crispy layer of paella into a single bite.
