As the cold snaps continue to envelop the country in a blanket of frost, we bring a much cosier kind of blanket. The oversized scarf is what you need; not only will it keep you warm, it’s also a fashion must, spotted on a number of designer catwalks and even more achingly cool influencers

As someone who has always embraced the cuddly, comforting feel of a big cosy scarf, it’s hard to see this fashion piece as a trend, but a current trend it is. And a huge one at that; statement-worthy, in fact.

The Acne Studios scarf remains a firm favourite. The brand has gone all out creating a colourful array of mohair scarves, plus they can now be personalised. Other designer labels to push the blanket scarf are Loewe, Jacquemus and Isabel Marant.

However, as you’d expect, the high street is awash with, quite frankly, amazing dupes. COS immediately springs to mind, with numerous content creators donning the brand’s oversized scarves. You can, of course, rely on Zara, Mango and Arket to bring us the hottest products at affordable prices.

Personally, I’m coveting the latest Ganni selection. We’re talking huge, snuggly pieces in reds, burgundy and lilacs. Oh, but then there’s Sézane. See, I told you, you can’t beat a giant scarf.
