This Season It’s All About The Shaggy Coat

We’ve had all the glamour from those luxe fur coats, now it’s time for the slightly more rebellious shaggy coats to steal the spotlight.
Feathered, yeti, mongolian… call it what you fancy, but the shaggy coat is having a moment. Already a staple within fashion circles, both A-listers and content creators have been sporting this fluffy number on the slopes and in the cities. But when the now fashion icon, Claudia Winkleman, dons a Raey yeti coat on The Traitors, everyone wants one. This particular coat has long gone, but there are similar styles to be found.
Zara, Topshop and Reserved all have some amazing faux fur outerwear, which are pretty budget friendly. However, given it’s January, many of the designer labels have some serious sales on, so don’t hang about. We’re talking Dries Van Noten and Bimba Y Lola – outstandingly chic and cool.
For a more spring-friendly look, check out Alice + Olivia for their cropped iterations in lighter, brighter shades. Mind you, if previous years are anything to go by, we’ll be needing those cosy cover-ups well into March. Wrap up, folks.
Fuzzy, faux fur coats were already trending, but Winkleman just turned up the demand. Stylist Sinead McKeefry has helped to create the most covetable wardrobe for The Traitors’ presenter.
