Our Instagram feeds have become filled with photo after photo of friends, influencers and celebs posing in front of yellow sunflower fields and we thought it was about time we jumped in on the action, so we’ve rounded up seven of the UK’s best sunflower fields to capture the perfect ‘gram.

We recently wrote about Garsons Esher’s wonderful PYO selection but we want to draw your attention specifically to their bursting sunflower fields. Located just a stone’s throw away from the big smoke, Garsons Esher boasts field upon field of towering sunflowers that make for the perfect Instagram pose. Play pick the prettiest posy with the kids and let them out their favourite two blooms.
Bury yourself among the tall flowers and strike a pose before exploring the rest of the countryside and farm on site. There are berries, flourishing fruit and veggies to pick yourself too.

Blooming Green
Calling all flower lovers: head on out to Blooming Green in Maidstone to explore endless petal possibilities at their pick-your-own flower farm.
Cousins Bek and Jen first launched the company back in 2007 and now boast sites across the UK growing and selling flowers and foliage for weddings, parties and celebrations, but it’s their Loddington Farm location that is still the beating heart of the business and has its own PYO section for floral fans to pick until their heart’s content.
Running every Saturday, you’ll be given an hour time slot to snip your favourite posies into your buckets and, of course, pose in front of the glorious array of wild flowers and sunflowers. Swap your standard supermarket bunch for some blooms with a story.

Hitchin Lavender
A lavender farm isn’t typically where you’d expect to see row upon row of bright yellow sunflowers, but Hitchin Lavender has other ideas.
Located in Herts, the lavender haven is abrim with purple-hued fields just awaiting your discovery but stem a little further down the path and you’ll find a field of yellow wonder ready to explore. Pack a picnic, explore the fields and have a jolly colourful day trip in the countryside.

Stoke Fruit Farm Shop
Yet to open for 2023 but it’s definitely worth the wait for this spot. Expect rolling fields of yellow sunflowers, muddy pigs and fresh produce when you explore the 350-acre Stoke Fruit Farm Shop.
The family-run farm, located on Hayling Island, boasts sweeping countryside and endless fields of seasonal vegetables, fresh hay and sunflowers. Book in to pick your own favourite sunflower heads and pose in front of the field of gold. An added bonus: under 16s go free with a paying adult making the perfect spot for a summer day out before the kids go back to school.
Make sure you stop off at the farm shop too to pick up some artisan products and fresh fruit and veggies from the farm.

Vine House Farm
Slotted in the heart of Lincolnshire, Vine House Farm boasts a whopping 100 acres worth of sunflowers on the farm, just perfect for the sunny summer months.

Venture a little further afield and spend the weekend at Cotswold Farm Park.

The Pop-Up Farm
Add a splash of sunshine to your day with a trip to The Pop Up Farm in St Albans.
Every year thousands of pick-your-own lovers come marching over to St Albans for The Pop-Up Farms extensive seasonal takeovers, from sweetcorn to pumpkins, right through to the sunny sunflowers.
Sadly the pop-up hasn’t reopened for this sunflower season just yet but keep up to date on their website for more details.
