London’s Biggest Food Festival Returns This Summer

Foodies, get a piece of this: tickets have just dropped for London’s biggest and best food festival, and we couldn’t be more excited by this year’s line-up.

Taste of London will be returning from Wednesday 14th to Sunday 18th June, bringing the very best of the restaurant and foodie scene to the capital for an epic week of dining, drinking and celebration. 

Your one-way ticket to London’s hottest restaurants, top UK chefs and exclusive culinary experiences, the five-day festival is jam-packed with highlights. From Alex Webb on Park Lane to Caribbean vegan hot spot Jam Delish and Big Mamma Group, there are plenty of tasty experiences to get stuck into.

Here’s a peak of what to expect at Taste of London

Restaurants & Chefs

Bringing Londoners the very best of the UK food scene, expect over 150 world-class dishes on offer, including exclusive Taste of London specials from culinary heroes. This year’s big arrival is the Dim Sum Terrace, a brand new concept and soon-to-open Harrods restaurant from the team behind Chai Wu – look forward to tucking into flavour-packed contemporary Chinese dishes and pan-Asian cuisine. 

The new names just keep coming with MasterChef winner Alex Webb on Park Lane, Sicilian-inspired flavour bursts from Fitrovia’s Norma and plant-based dishes from Islington’s vegan-Caribbean restaurant Jam Delish. This year sees the Big Mamma Group, renowned for its eccentric trattoria-inspired restaurant and towering lemon meringue pies, putting on a flamboyant Italian show.

Further confirmed restaurants and chefs include: Italian chef Francesco Mazzei; Bar Kroketa famed for its Spanish croquettes; contemporary Indian restaurant Kahani; and Mexican hotspot Cavita.

Returning favourites include award-winning Sri Lankan restaurant Hoppers; Japanese specialists Flesh & Buns; street-food favourites Roti King; and London favourite Burger & Lobster. Be Inclusive Hospitality returns, bringing together a collection of incredible black-owned businesses exclusively curated for Taste. More restaurants will be announced in the lead-up to the big weekend.

Bars

Refuel from all the feasting with help from Taste’s leading mixologist experts and bars on hand all throughout the festival. For the G&T lovers, you’ll want to sip into the evening with a tipple from the much-loved tonic Schweppes’ Cocktail Bar who’ll be serving up classic gin and tonics and cocktails. While el Jimador Tequila will be bringing festival goers the freshest tequila cocktails in town, from Paloma sorbets to Tommy’s margaritas. 

 

For beer lovers, Menabrea will be opening its Menebrea Italian Alpine Bar, inviting guests to experience the taste of Italy’s award-winning Alpine birra. While Suffolk legends Aspall will be on hand serving up refreshing pints of cider all weekend long.

BLOOM London Dry Gin’s team will be on hand to mix up four cocktails inspired by the quintessential English summer garden. The space is totally Insta-worthy, complete with a live pianist and photo ops in front of a floral backdrop, complete with fresh pomelo, chamomile and honeysuckle, the three botanicals found in BLOOM. 

Experiences & Pop-Ups

Bringing the action will be a series of food and drink masterclasses, cooking demonstrations and dining experiences. New for 2023, Visit Portugal will be bringing the very best of Portuguese gastronomy to London. Look forward to sampling signature dishes and distinctive wines and learning about the country’s culinary cultures and traditions at the Flames of Portugal barbeque school. There’ll even be masterclasses cooking over a live fire from JOIA’s two-Michelin-starred Henrique Sa Pessoa and Lisboeta’s Nuno Mendes. 

 

Coffee enthusiasts can get stuck into illy’s interactive classes and sip on caffeine-filled tipples and desserts at their coffee bar, while Grana Padano PDO cheese and Prosecco DOC will bring a little of the Italian “Dolce Vita”, with Chef Danilo Cortellini and Wine Expert Neil Phillips.

Everyone’s favourite Sanpellegrino will be transporting you to the Mediterranean through their mixology classes, and Taste’s Cook School will be returning with an epic five-star line-up of chefs sharing their top culinary tips. 

Returning once again is the festival’s legendary Taste Fire Pit, where you can expect flame-fuelled chef demonstrations hosted by top London chefs. Confirmed names include Coal Office’s head chef Dan Pelles, Hoppers’ Karan Gokani, Cornerstone’s Tom Brown, Hidden Hut’s Simon Stallard, World Food Champion 2021 Preston Nguyen and Mexican chef Adriana Cavita. 

You can up your experience even more by opting for a VIP ticket, giving you exclusive access to the VIP Lounge. Think intimate masterclasses, garden games, tasting sessions with top artisan producers and exclusive live music and DJ sets powered by KALAB, the online community for emerging artists.
