Mini-Me-Fashion

Could there be a better time to twin with the littles? Admittedly the jury is constantly out on mummy and me matching, but when respected designer brands provide such sartorial temptation, it would be rude not to get on board. We’ve scoured the net for our favourites…

The first collection already causing a buzz in stylish circles is the new Mango Mini Me edit. It’s understated, relaxed and effortless; void of the naff clichés associated with mini me clothing. The muted, boho pieces feel timeless and far from try-hard, highlighted by the laid-back, golden hued fashion shoot below. From soft knits to easy denims, the selection is incredibly wearable and affordable.

Mango New Mini Me Collection

“The reason why we have created a Mini Me collection is to respond to the interest that we have detected in many mothers and daughters to dress alike,” says Berta Moral, Head of Mango Kids. “In the capsule we find the same garments that work perfectly for an adult woman and for a girl, with a very naive image, in terms of tricot, which we mix with denim garments in cargo patterns which result in very modern looks, always being faithful to our Mediterranean DNA.”

Then you have the boutique brands, again leaning into that ‘70s floaty feel, with printed mini me dresses at DÔEN to patchwork jackets at Louise Misha – we’re obsessed. Similar to the Mango collection, the pieces feel gentle and carefree, as fashion should be. Both Zimmerman and Sea New York have also nailed the family styling with matching prints in age appropriate cuts from midis to baby rompers. Childrenswear has never looked quite so beautiful.

If, however, you want vibrant colours, then look to Olivia Rubin for her now iconic rainbow patterns. Or, if  that’s not enough drama, go to Needle & Thread for the most stunning statement-worthy gowns in both big and teeny sizes.

So enough debating, once you’ve seen the pieces below, you’ll be twinning with your youngsters in no time.
