Is The White Lotus Style The Best Thing About The Latest Season?
It may have become a cult TV show, but it’s all about the fashion for our Style Editor. So, if you’re more fascinated by kaftans and designer dresses, keep scrolling for plenty of iconic White Lotus style.
Obviously, I’m there for the illicit antics, heinous characters, and stunning Thai scenery, but my goodness, the outfits. I mean, we’re talking fashion paradise straight off the bat. From Gucci and Jacquemus to Alémais and Zimmerman, the costume designer has enlisted every covetable brand of note to complete The White Lotus wardrobe. Said designer is none other than the Emmy award-winning Alex Bovaird, who also designed a resort-ready White Lotus-inspired collaboration with H&M. Renowned for her story-telling through costume, Bovaird has succeeded in creating a visual treat to complement the breathtaking Koh Samui backdrop. Honestly, every scene had me insatiably searching for luxe resort wear (minus an actual booked holiday, I might add).

Bold colours featured alongside muted shades, but designer labels were a must. Ralph Lauren worked to perfection on the more preppy Ratliff family, while Valentino, Zimmerman, and Gucci felt like mainstays in the closets of the trio of 40-something besties Jaclyn, Kate, and Laurie. For me, though, it was all about Alémais, the Australian fashion label that seemed to nail high-end summer styling throughout without being ostentatious.
And yes, Mike White’s latest instalment of his TV hit is awash with toxic drama, icky moments and potential murder, but has the murkiness gone too far? If the fashion remains this good, I’m here for more.

Set in the Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui, the decor is a bold yet calming mix of tropical details, beachside vibes and slow-living loveliness. The production designer Cristina Onori also used Anantara Bo Phut in Samui as the main exterior entrance and reception area, Anantara Mai Khao in Phuket as the spa, and Rosewood Phuket as the dinner restaurant. All a wonderful blend of Thai culture and luxury design. Let’s emulate those feels back here in Blighty…
