Love choux but haven’t quite perfected it yourself? Leave it to the experts this weekend and head over to Le Choux’s special pop-up. Trained pastry chef, author, activist and TV personality Ravneet Gill will be taking over the Ladbroke Grove bakery for one-day only.
This Sunday you can look forward to Ravneet serving up a selection of pastries, cookies and, of course, choux.
Pre-orders for the pop-up have sold-out but there are set to be a few surprises on the day so it’s definitely worth heading down to see if you can get a piece of the pie.

Set in an interrogation room in an unnamed totalitarian dictatorship, a fiction writer is being questioned following a series of child murders that resemble the author’s unsettling short shorties. Things get heated when the writer’s brother confesses and implies the writer is in on the process.

Catch the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta
Over in Bristol, the annual International Balloon Fiesta returns this weekend, filling the city with four days packed with free family fun.
Dating back to 1979, the fiesta brings like-minded balloonists together to the popular ballooning location Ashton Court. Spectators from all over attend and marvel at the ascents.
Every morning between 6-7am, up to 100 balloons will take to the air, while there’ll be the chance to meet the teams behind the ascents and get up close to hot air balloons for yourself, watch miniature aviation stunts and see teams race to inflate their balloons. Every evening will close with one final ascent around 9pm, just in time for a sunset photo shot.

Head to Cornwall’s surfing festival
It’s not often you’ll find a surfing festival here in the UK but Boardmasters is one place you’ll be able to soak up all the surfing action this summer.
There are two sites spread across the Cornish seaside town of Newquay. Fistral Beach is entirely taken over for five full days filled with surfers and festival goers. Meanwhile, the festival’s other Newquay site is set to be filled with big acts including Liam Gallagher, Lorde, Florence + The Machine, Little Simz, Raye and Four Tet.
