The Trading House, a spectacular new pub, located on the site of the former Bank of New Zealand, the Victorian space will feature a striking central bar, 96-cover restaurant and a mezzanine area for drinks and events.

The drinks list will be led by ales and cocktails. An impressive list of signature cocktails such as Cardamom Old Fashioned and Lemon and Anise Sour will sit alongside a menu of 20 gins, each with a paired tonic and its own garnish. As for dining, the emphasis is on freshly cooked pub food, done simply and well. Rotisserie and barbeque sections include favourites such as burgers, steaks and whole roasted chickens, as well as the signature ‘hanging kebabs’ made with a choice of grilled meats, prawns or halloumi.

As the name might suggest, The Trading House’s interiors will invoke the spirit of the East India Trading Company, and London’s nautical heritage. The interior will retain much of the grade II listed building’s architectural detail and period fixtures and fittings, including dark woods, high ceilings and a spiral staircase.
