Here’s How To Stream Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Hit Musicals For Free

Whether you love him or loathe him, the king of musicals, Andrew Lloyd Webber has spoken, announcing all of his most famed musical must-sees will be available to be streamed for free from the comfort of your sofa!
Following the government guidelines, theatres, cinemas and public spaces up and down the country sadly drew the curtain for the last time and closed their doors in the hope of preventing the spread of COVID-19. Flash forward and three weeks later we’ve seen many musicians who have cancelled their tours now performing their shows live online or releasing previous performances for free, so it’s reassuring to see the theatre world, with Lloyd Webber at the centre of it all, doing something similar and giving theatre lovers the chance to see their favourite productions come to life in their own homes.
Universal have come up with a great idea called ‘The Shows Must Go On’, the new YouTube Channel that will be streaming a full-length musical every Friday at 7pm BST for free so you can bring the theatre home! pic.twitter.com/yfjZ2HkUfk

Named The Show Must Go On, Lloyd Webber’s YouTube series has flung the wild theatrics onto your computer screen, with the first being broadcasted last Friday.
The series started off with a technicoloured bang, beginning with the 2000 adaptation of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat, which starred Donny Osmond, Richard Attenborough, Joan Collins and Maria Friedman.

This Good Friday, tune in at 7pm to catch Tim Minchin, Mel C and Chris Moyles turn the stage on its head in their West End performance of Jesus Christ Superstar. Pop on your glam rags as it’s your chance to rock out to Tim Rice’s amazing rock opera album once more. Each musical is then available to view online for 48 hours.
Preceding performances are yet to be announced, although Lloyd Webber hinted at us getting the chance to view his ‘disaster musical, By Jeeves’ at some point, but if these two are anything to go by, we know we’re in for one hell of a show.
Who knows we might even see the first ‘Zoom: The Musical’ in a few months time…
Tune in every Friday at 7pm (UK time) here
