Straker’s

You might know him for being the ‘butter guy’ on TikTok, but Thomas Straker has been this year’s hottest chef to look out for. And now he’s opening up his first ever restaurant.

Located on Golborne Road, the restaurant will be heavily influenced by the Italian’s approach to cooking and the buzz around the tables in Italy. Expect a mix of snacks, small and larger plates to form the base of the menu, with sharing a top priority of the table. A number of ‘primi’ pasta dishes will feature including pillowy potato gnocchi and ragu, as well as roasted turbot with butter chanterelles and chives.

Battersea Power Station

Battersea Power Station’s regeneration has been slowly ticking away for the past few years, with restaurants, bars, boutique salons and even a new tube stop opening up to connect the neighbourhood destination with the rest of the city. It’s a buzzy hub that we’ve all grown to love exploring, and it’s set to expand even further on Friday 14th October when the Grade II* listed building will open its doors to the public for the first time in history with an exciting line-up of shopping and dining destinations.

Joining the likes of Wright Brothers, Megan’s, Roti King and Tapas Brindisa will be gourmet kebab specialists, Le Bab; brunch maestros, Where The Pancakes Are; and Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar.

For those looking for a new drinking destination, Control Room B is set to be the hottest new all-day cocktail bar for date nights, catch-ups and lively get-togethers. Brought to us from Inception Group, the team behind Mr Fogg’s and Cahoots, the bar will be housed inside one of the Grade II* listed Power Station’s original control rooms.
