Nothing beats a cup of tea, right? I never really understood this until I had my first cup. That was the point of no return. The soothing qualities are undeniable, but there’s also something wonderful about the social connections tied to a good ol’ cuppa. Teatime brings people together in the most joyful way, so why not bring even more joy with a super cool teapot?
For something truly maximalist, you have to check out the brilliant Skye McAlpine Tavola collection. With a whole section dedicated to teatime, you know the designer is all about creating not just a beautiful experience, but a memorable one, too. Her teapots are flamboyant, showstopping Italian creations that are destined to impress. Another label to get people chatting is award-winning, Melody Rose. Known for its elegantly eccentric fine bone china tableware, the artist and designer Melanie Roseveare celebrates surreal and fantastical stories. Definitely one for art lovers, her designs feature intricately drawn trapeze artists, skulls and naked models.
You can’t beat a piece of Skye McAlpine’s Tavola tableware. Handcrafted and hand painted by artisans in the Veneto region, this incredible teapot is the ultimate eye-catching piece for breakfast, afternoon tea or to serve fresh mint tea after a dinner party.

SKYE MCALPINE, Fragola Teapot, £88
A more geo-print style is also very of-the-moment. Take the Ginori 1735 Labirinto collection, for instance, its graphic pattern created by Gio Ponti in 1926 is a bold, maze-like pattern that has inspired many iterations on the high street, including H&M’s porcelain teapot. But then, of course, for the quirkiest of designs, you can always rely on the supremo that is Jonathan Adler. His unique teapots are 100% on my Christmas wish list. Which one is going on yours?
