It’s February, and as the weather isn’t getting any warmer, you’ve got plenty of excuses to stay in during the evenings and cosying up with the latest streaming release on Netflix, Apple TV, and more.

This month sees two anticipated and yet different fashion-world dramas, Capote vs The Swans and The New Look make their debut, as well as the Netflix romantic series One Day, arriving just in time for Valentine’s. Here’s everything to look out for:

Masters of the Air

Masters of the air

Masters of the Air debuted at the end of January, but we’re putting it into this month’s list as it continues into February. The companion series to Band of Brothers and The Pacific, Masters of the Air reunites Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks in this WWII Apple TV+ series that tells the gripping story of the 100th Bomb Group, a section of the US Air Force operating out of England.

Austin Butler , Barry Keoghan and Ncuti Gatwa are the biggest names of the cast, all playing airmen sent to help turn the tide of the war by bombing parts of Germany. Flying a plane has enough risks, and flying into enemy territory during a world war is another thing entirely- the mesmerising series is one of hardship and heroism. Make sure to check it out if you haven’t started it already, as it’ll surely be one of the most stunning TV experiences this year.

Feud: Capote vs The Swans

Feud: Capote vs The Swans

The second instalment in the anthology series Feud, Capote vs. The Swans has received a lot of buzz already for its tantalising premise: acclaimed writer Truman Capote, known for his penning of Breakfast at Tiffany’s and In Cold Blood, has cemented himself within the elite of New York City’s high society during the 1970s, and keeps a close inner circle of well-known faces who confide secrets to him. This trust is broken however when he publishes a story that is a thinly veiled version of several events that the socialites told him about in Esquire magazine, and later in the novel Answered Prayers.

The women, including Babe Paley (Naomi Watts ), Slim Keith (Diane Lane ), C.Z Guest (Chloë Sevigny ), Lee Radziwill (Calista Flockhart ) and Ann Woodward (Demi Moore ), who are collectively known as The Swans, decide to come together and exact revenge by ruining the novelist’s life. Capote himself is played by The White Lotus star Tom Hollander.

One Day

One Day

You might remember the film version of One Day, starring Anne Hathaway , which was released right back in 2011- this new Netflix adaptation turns David Nicholls’ original novel into a TV series.

The romantic drama sees two students, Dexter (Leo Woodall ) and Emma (Ambika Mod ), spend their graduation night together, but decide to move on with their lives and remain friends, despite a definite spark between them. Their lives remain inseparable however, as they continue to reunite with each other on the same day every year for the next few years. The story spans decades, with both “Dex” and “Em” growing closer and then growing apart as time goes on. But will they keep their relationship just as friends, or will they find that their future belongs together permanently? You’ll have to see for yourself when it arrives on 8th February.

The New Look

THe New Look

A perhaps unlikely pairing of both a WWII and fashion world drama, The New Look stars Ben Mendelsohn as Christian Dior, the legendary fashion designer, and charts his rise to become one of the most important figures in the history of the industry.

In the aftermath of the ruinous Second World War, Dior returns to Paris as he strives to revamp the fashion industry and help France’s prestige recover by founding a daring and influential line, the New Look. His fast ascendancy sees him usurp Coco Chanel (played by Juliette Binoche ) as the world’s foremost fashion designer across this new Apple TV+ series. Maisie Williams , John Malkovich , Emily Mortimer and Glenn Close also star. Like with Capote vs. The Swans, it’s a must-watch for fashion fans.

Mr & Mrs Smith

Mr & Mrs Smith

Amazon Prime swaps out Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie for Donald Glover and Maya Erskine for this new version of Mr. & Mrs. Smith, which switches things up for the 2020s. Two spies, given the simple blank names John (Glover) and Jane (Erskine), and assigned to pose together as a married couple. Unlike in the original, they’re aware of who the other is and are tasked with carrying out various spy missions together from within New York.

Having initially been strangers to each other before signing up to their spy agency, both John and Jane have some getting acquainted to do, and have to navigate their new life together as a fake couple. But of course, this invariably leads to the two becoming closer than their profession requires them to be. Paul Dano , Parker Posey , Michaela Coel , John Turturro , and Alexander Skarsgård all feature in the cast along the way.

Looking for something a bit more out of this world to watch this month? Then pardon the pun and strap in for Constellation, featuring The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and Prometheus star Noomi Rapace as Jo, an astronaut who experiences a traumatic event in space which causes her to have to abandon her mission and go back to Earth.

Once there, she finds that her life is not what she remembers, with things missing- most alarmingly, her daughter Alice seems to not be the same person she left behind. Breaking Bad’s Jonathan Banks stars opposite her as Henry, who appears to have a past of his own as as an astronaut, and offers advice to Jo as she tries to pick up the pieces. It’s an exciting sci-fi thriller concept, and the Apple TV+ drama looks like one to sink into this month.
