The Devil Wears Prada 2 press tour is officially underway, and Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep are wasting no time in proving they are still fashion royalty. Touching down in Mexico City yesterday, the iconic duo has already served multiple looks, sporting Schiaparelli ensembles and custom Dolce & Gabbana that would be sure to earn Miranda Priestley’s nod of approval. Here is a breakdown of the pair’s recent looks:

The duo’s first stop

Streep and Hathaway kickstarted the tour with a high-fashion brunch at the Frida Kahlo Museum, where they stepped out in monochrome tailored suits, paired with matching sunglasses. Stepping back into the role of the iconic Runway editor in chief, Miranda Priestley, Streep proved that she, too, is fashion royalty, wearing an all-red, Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. The silhouette featured a single-breasted blazer and wide-leg suit trousers, which she pulled together with a nod to the original film poster’s red stiletto heel.

Meanwhile, Hathaway opted for a monochromatic black Schiaparelli outfit. The look was comprised of a black cowboy shirt, adorned with the fashion house’s signature gold details. This was paired with a long tasselled pencil skirt and minimalist gold jewellery.

The first premiere looks

Mastering the art of the quick change, Streep and Hathaway then spent the evening at the film’s first official premiere. Here, Hathaway traded the all-black ensemble for a dazzling mini dress. She paired the Stella McCartney long-sleeved, red dress with a thigh-high leather boot and a bold, matching red lip.

Streep opted to step into Schiaparelli, wearing an elegant, navy shirt dress with a statement buckle and gold detailing. The look was tied together with a black and gold Schiaparelli bag and a chunky heel.
