You’ve nailed your holiday wardrobe and found a killer cozzie; now you need those must-have pieces to get you through a day on a sun lounger. For me, it’s a game-changer because who wants to schlep back to the hotel room for those forgotten sunnies? I need to have all my kit together, and that includes everything from my Factor 50 to the latest summer read. A hat or a head scarf is a no-brainer, and as for my shades, I’m partial to bringing a couple of pairs.
Often, my summer tote is a basic yet durable basket, but I’ve been loving the colourful Darwen bags from Isabel Marant, as well as the gorgeous raffia totes from Mint Velvet and Ganni. As for the contents, those accessories range from high street faves to boutique finds.

My beach bag is always packed with neutral tones, breathable fabrics and, of course, snacks. An easy read is a non-negotiable for seaside relaxing and this one is the next on my list, plus, this sunscreen smells better than most perfumes.

Both my SPF and a good book are my non-negotiables. After that, my beach bag is brimming with sunglasses, face sprays, and multiple cover-ups. Primarily because I may start the day feeling relaxed in a floaty boho kaftan, but by the end of the day I’m happiest in an oversized tee with a cold drink in my hand.
