7 Film & TV Locations You Can Actually Airbnb

30th September 2024 | By Lottie Woodrow

Witness your favourite film and TV scenes come to life as you stay in some of the best Airbnbs on the market.

From Villanelle’s boujee Barcelona apartment to Bella Swan’s humble home from Twilight, Marianne’s family holiday home in Italy to Home Alone‘s iconic Christmas setting, here are seven film and TV locations you can actually stay in.

Succession

Throughout its celebrated run, Succession globe-trotted to a host of beautiful locations across the world – a castle in Scotland, a luxury hotel in Norway, and a superyacht in the Adriatic ocean. But it was this villa in Lake Como at the end of season three that caught the hearts and minds of the public most of all.

The luxury villa has a whopping 13 bedrooms, as well as a tennis court, pool and lounges nestled among lemon groves, and costs about £4,000+ a night.

Twilight

Remember Twilight? It seems so long ago, but there was a time when it was the number one cultural property out there. The frenzy might have died down, but we know you fans are still out there having Jacob vs Edward debates in your hearts.

Set in a small neighbourhood in downtown Saint Helens, Oregon, the house actually houses five bedrooms, although the depictions in the film certainly don’t portray that, so it’s perfect for a family or friend group who are still as obsessed with the novel and film franchise as they were when they were teenagers.

Killing Eve

Killing Eve sees Jodie Comer play assassin Villanelle, and Eve Polanski, played by Sandra Oh, on a three-season adventure of what can only be described as a funny, suspenseful and risque show, documenting the lives of two individuals who are equally as obsessed with one another.

But it’s not only the amazing acting and gripping storyline that keeps viewers coming back for more each season, it’s the memorable fashion looks that Villanelle is seen strutting in and the globetrotting locations that are flung at us every episode. Season three saw Villanelle living in a gorgeous apartment in Barcelona and it’s now available to rent on Airbnb. Described as an ‘Art Nouveau’ flat, the two-bedroom apartment is beautiful from its original 1906 ceiling details to its open-plan architectural design, which when it was first built was extremely unusual. Live out your Villanelle dreams as you stay at this trendy apartment.

Home Alone

Surely there is no better place to spend Christmas than in the most famous festive house of them all. Kevin McAllister fought off Chicago’s most incompetent burglars in these very walls, and thanks to heavy scrutiny and public interest, it’s been crime-free ever since.

Should you choose to bring your whole family along, make sure everyone makes it there – now wouldn’t that be a twist.

Normal People

Everyone’s favourite couple with zero communication skills reached the low point in their relationship in the most beautiful of settings. Connell is at his most confused, and Marianne is dating the worst person on earth contender Jamie, who proceeds to ruin a delicious-looking fig-based meal in the villa’s garden through increasingly obnoxious behaviour.

Hopefully, prospective holiday-goers can bring the vibes to match the setting. The apartment can accommodate up to six people in two large bedrooms, dining room, living room, kitchenette and modern bathroom, and a swimming pool.

Harry Potter

Potterheads are a devoted bunch, but even they might think twice about using up precious annual leave days to stay at the scene of the most heartbreaking moment of the series – the murder of Harry’s parents. Or so you would think because this place is always booked out.

De Vere House in Laverham doubles up as Godric’s Hollow, Harry’s former house he lived in as a baby until tragedy struck. If that wasn’t enough, it is also the setting for the scariest scene in Deathly Hallow’s Part 1 – those that know, know.

Sex Education

We don’t really understand where Sex Education is set. Is it modern-day England? The accents and Gen Z schoolkids would suggest so. Is it 80s USA? The style and school structure would suggest this alternative. What we do know is that Otis and his mum Jean live in the best house.

The interiors are beautiful and chaotic, with every ounce packed with trinkets, books and colour. The Norwegian wooden house is available to rent so you can see where some of your favourite scenes were crafted.
