Olivia Wilde Stars In Raunchy Erotic Thriller I Want Your Sex
Olivia Wilde’s latest film, The Invite, which she directs and stars in, has only just been released in cinemas, but her next film, I Want Your Sex, is just around the corner. Directed by cult filmmaker Gregg Araki, the comedy thriller stars Wilde alongside Cooper Hoffman in a darkly funny erotic thriller set within the contemporary art world. It also stars an eclectic cast including Chase Sui Wonders, Johnny Knoxville and Charli XCX. Here’s everything you need to know.
What is I Want Your Sex about?
I Want Your Sex follows Elliot (Cooper Hoffman), a frustrated and bored young man whose life changes overnight when he lands a job working for Erika Tracy (Olivia Wilde), a world-famous contemporary artist known as much for her provocative public persona as her work. She styles herself as being “anti-woke” and is generally out to cause controversy and get talked about. For Elliot, it initially seems like an amazing work opportunity to boost his career alongside one of the industry’s biggest names.
I Want Your Sex follows Elliot, a frustrated and bored young man whose life changes overnight when he lands a job working for Erika Tracy, a world-famous contemporary artist known as much for her provocative public persona as her work.
However, the professional relationship soon takes an unexpected turn when Erika chooses Elliot to become her latest artistic- and sexual- muse. As he is drawn deeper into her unconventional world, Elliot finds himself navigating increasingly complicated questions about what he wants out of life and relationships. What begins as an exciting new chapter gradually develops into something far more consuming, and Elliot isn’t sure how far Erika will go.
Like other recent genre-bending movies like Nicole Kidman’s much-talked-about Babygirl, there’s a lot of sex and taboo, promising that it’ll be a wild ride. In the first meeting of Elliot and Erika shown in the trailer, she gets things off with a bang when she asks him to crawl rather than walk over to her. It also reveals that Charli XCX is playing Elliot’s girlfriend, Minerva, and that Knoxville and Margaret Cho (Fire Island) are detectives who question Elliot about his relationship with Erika.
