Fashion District Festival
A celebration of sustainable fashion, the Fashion District Festival returns this month to Spitalfields, inspiring Londoners to shop consciously with preloved, swapped, rented and upcycled brands.
Known for supporting fashion and fash-tech start-ups year round, the Fashion District’s festival will be packed out with over 40 events, offering the chance to explore, learn, create and network with leading conscious brands and businesses.
This year’s festival covers four themes – Watch, Shop, Make and Grow – and will kick off with a launch show curated by Lee Lapthorne, Creative Director at On | Off and AGRO Studio. Expect some of London’s up-and-coming designers to showcase physical and digital installations to create an unforgettable experience. Further showcases will take place throughout the week, including The Fabricant and Institute of Digital Fashion.
Other festival highlights include a collaborative retail pop-up at Number 1 Lamb Street in Spitalfields, featuring planet-positive designers and start-ups. Think Depop, The Alterist, Loanhood, The Cirkel, Verte London, Circular Threads and The Seam, all hosting events and experiences across the week, from swap shops to styling masterclasses and upcycling workshops. There’ll be plenty of panel discussions and roundtables with leading industry names including UKFT, Fashion Innovation Industry and The WIP, as well as interactive repair, reuse and recycle-centred workshops.

Live at the Palace
If you missed out on the first Live at the Palace weekender, then you’re in luck as their second weekend is just around the corner and jam-packed with huge music legends and rising stars.
Presented by Robomagic, Live at the Palace will once again be taking over Fulham Palace. The weekend will kick off on Friday 28th July with OMD, Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark, who will be headlining the night. Saturday 29th will see British music icon Emeli Sandé headlining, alongside special guests Sinéad Harnett and Lady Blackbird. While on Sunday 30th, join the likes of UB40 feat. Ali Campbell and his incredible nine-piece band as they headline the final night.

The Greatest Night of the Jazz Age
Looking for an escape? Travel back in time to 1930s New York and uncover the true story of Belle Livingstone’s 58th Street Country Club, a raucous Manhattan super club born in the final years of Prohibition.
Brought to life by experience experts, The Lost Estate, the evening will see you enter New York’s speakeasy scene and Ms. Belle Livingstone’s legendary club that, for a brief few hours, became a playground for Hollywood Queens, Harlem Kings and Park Avenue tycoons until it was raided by Federal agents never to be opened up again.
Due to popular demand, this one-of-a-kind experience has been extended for the final time, with dates running until late September. The must-see experience features a jaw-dropping set by long-term collaborators Darling and Edge, a culinary odyssey by Executive head chef Ash Clarke (ex-Gordon Ramsey Group) and the best live jazz band in London, led by Rory Simmons (Blur, Jamie Cullum). You do not want to miss out.

The Ice Cream Project by Anna Hindmarch
Anna Hindmarch’s hugely popular summer concept store, The Ice Cream Project, is back with a vengeance. Partnering with huge cult food brands, from Ribena to Maldon Salt, Londoners will be queuing around the corner to get a taste of the weird, the wacky and the wonderful ice creams and sorbets.
Made in small batches in Devon, this year’s line-up of peculiar flavours includes fan favourites and a few new welcome additions. Choose from the likes of Ambrosia Rice Pudding, a creamy option laced with the original Devon rice pud; Kikkoman Soy Sauce, a toasted sesame ice cream laced with umami-rich soy sauce; Tiptree Lemon Curd, made using the finest Sicilian lemon curd; Warburtons Crumpets, an ice cream packed with toasted crumpet and notes of butter; and Kellogg’s Coco Pops with an added crunch of chocolate flavoured toasted rice.

Yesterday Outdoor Screening at The Swan at Streatley
It’s the season of al fresco performances, and where better to soak up the magic of cinema than at The Swan at Streatley’s special July screening?
This month’s film will see you enter Danny Boyle’s 2019 rom-com Yesterday. It follows Jack, a struggling musician who wakes up in an alternate reality where he is the only person on Earth who can remember The Beatles, so he starts putting out the band’s music in order to gain fame.

Special sunny moments call for an Aperol Spritz. If you aren’t flitting off to Italy this summer, enjoy the next best thing right here in London. The capital’s largest Italian destination, Eataly, is bringing the country to us thanks to their pop-up Terrazza.
Relax on their outdoor terrace next to the bright orange van with a glass of Aperol Spritz in one hand and Italian antipasti in the other. Expect dishes such as a trio of bruschetta; pizza topped with parma ham and creamy burrata; deep bowls of freshly made pasta; and tiramisu baked by their head pastry chef. The Sloane Club x Whispering Angel Summer Pop-Up
It’s the summer of pink and where better to soak it up than at The Roof Terrace at The Sloane Club’s terrace takeover courtesy of rosé brand, Whispering Angel.

Taking over the pop-up space for the summer season at Harrods’ 1st Floor Jewellery Department will be Lebanese brand L’Atelier Nawbar.
Since launching back in 1891, the brand has always strived to create intricate, fun and delicate designs. Now four generations on, the brand is now run by sisters Dima and Tania who continue to champion its legacy and heritage with colourful pieces. The Terrace at The Royal Horseguards Hotel has partnered with Lanson Champagne for a summer-long celebration. Creating the ultimate al fresco dining experience, the restaurant has unveiled a new menu, with each dish designed to pair with limited-edition Champagne serves and cocktails.

Love gin? This summer Cornish gin brand, Tarquin’s, will be landing at the toop of Searcys at the Gherkin to celebrate its 10th birthday. Expect a whole host of activations, from a bespoke cocktail menu and afternoon tea to exclusive gin masterclasses.
The Iris Bar will also be transformed into a Cornish oasis, complete with a sea of blue and white, beach huts and floral decor. Order in a G&T trio and it’ll be served straight off a surfboard – pretty cool.

Travelzoo’s Ascot Racecourse Event

Supper Club Series at Tokii
Japanese fusion restaurant Tokii is launching a new Supper Club Series this month, guiding diners on a journey through Japanese cuisine.
The evening menu includes a sake pairing, kicking off with a traditional sake barrel experience led by the hotel’s expert sake sommelier. This will be followed by a six-course dinner complementing the sake flavours.
Menu highlights include beef fillet tataki with red onion salsa, ponzu and garlic crisps; grade A5 Wagyu with spicy ponzu; and a dark chocolate fondant with matcha ice cream.
