Summer is almost here, which means that ice cream season is in full swing. And if you enjoy a slightly more adventurous food offering, you’ll be pleased to know that Anya Hindmarch’s famous Ice Cream Project is back in London again – here’s everything you need to know about the buzzy pop-up.

In case you missed it, Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project made headlines the last few years for its… unconventional flavours – we’re talking everything from Heinz Ketchup to Kikkoman Soy Sauce. And it seems the launch was a success now that it’s returned by popular demand for 2024.

What is Anya Hindmarch’s Ice Cream Project?

You’ve likely already deduced that this is a unique dessert destination, with the designer brand describing it as follows: “With sleek silver freezers packed full of ice cream pots, the Ice Cream Project is a minimalist temple to the joy of ice cream and sorbet, with a twist – the household names inspiring our ice creams are typically found in the pantry rather than the freezer, think savoury sauces, condiments, biscuits, breakfast cereals and even crumpets…”

What are the flavours?

Some of its most popular flavours, such as Kikkoman Soy Sauce and Heinz Baked Beans, along with a handful of new additions which comprise the assortment of 15 limited edition ice creams to try.

This year’s menu features various unexpected ice cream and sorbet options, ranging from condiments and cereals to seasonings. Those with a sweet tooth might reach for McVities’a  Jaffa Cakes, Penguin Biscuits or Tropicana Orange, whereas the more daring among us will surely be reaching for the Branston Piccalilli or Sarson’s Malt Vinegar.

Plus, this year, visitors are told to expect a few added extras, including a brand new Ice Cream Project Blind Tasting Tea…
