We’ve found somewhere that’s guaranteed to bring a splash of fun to our British summer and that’s the new botanical glasshouse opening at Searcys at The Gherkin.
Decked out with exotic plants and flowers, The Glasshouse will become an oasis of greenery – despite being at the top of one of London’s most iconic skyscrapers. Created in partnership with Perrier-Jouët Champagne, guests can enjoy Champagne pairings by Perrier-Jouët along with a floral gin cocktail menu and seasonal menu truly shining light on the best of British produce.
For the bougie champagne lovers, parties of all sizes can take part in a champagne masterclass and indulge in a tasting flight of three different cuvées. All the while staring out in awe of the panoramic views of the sun setting over the city.
Running until September 1st
As sunnier climes creep up to finally drench London in a bit of well-deserved sunshine, we’re all hands on deck when it comes to the idea of a terrific terrace and a tantalising tipple. And, pandering to our post-work aperitif and glass-clinking dreams is the much-adored Dalloway Terrace; a venue that loves to dabble in a bit of flora and fauna to reflect the changing of the seasons and has been coined as “one of London’s most Instagrammable restaurants,” by Vogue!
Recently, they played upon the theme of Leonard Woolf’s book, village in the jungle. Offering up a ‘Jungle Lunch’ menu set amongst the flora and fauna of a re-imagined Sri Lanka, the terrace was a big ol’ hit with famished Londoners. Now, fans of a costume change, much like Lady Gaga at the Met Gala, Dalloway Terrace has introduced its #DallowaySummerEstate theme, in partnership with gin and vodka makers, Ramsbury.
Summer has never tasted, or looked, so damn good!
The dashing Dalloway terrace can be found at 16-22 Great Russell Street, WC1B 3NN. The Summer Estate will be open from 24thJuly until mid-September between 08:00am and 11:00pm, with reservations available up to two weeks in advance.
Just Eat Food Fest, returning at an all new venue in London, will offer guests an immersive and personalized taste adventure. The event will offer two full days of live music, cocktails and Just Eat’s favourite takeaway dishes. Now in its fourth year, the event has attracted a number of celebs and is sure to be one of London’s hottest food tickets of the summer.
What do you do when your fave restaurant launches cocktails in cans? You drink ’em all! Cheers Las Iguanas!
Yep, the awesome Latin American resto has rustled up some epic cans, right in time for this mental heat wave we find ourselves entrapped in. We’re talking a Caipirinha with Las Iguanas Magnifica Cachaça and lime, as well as Mango Collins and the classic that sun’s out classic, Strawberry Daiquiri! The cans are fully recyclable so when you wake up with that terrific hangover guilt you’ll know that you at least saved the planet during your escapades. Woo!

Ever fancied getting your shoes shined whilst sipping tequila? Nope, neither have we. Yet, I think that might all be about to change with 1 Lombard Street’s new booze-based offering.
Killing two birds with one very tasty stone (not sure that quite makes sense!) the venue have been celebrating National Tequila Day in style, as luxe brand Maestro Dobel partners with them. Choose from a Diamond Old Fashioned or London Paloma whilst shining up your brogues at the same time. Feeling in the “out, out” mood? Why not have the trip of Dobel blends – sheesh!
It’s quirky, it’s boozy and we love it. Get yourselves down to 1 Lombard Street from 5-8pm. Finishes on the 26th of July.

Fancy a pint? Don’t we all… what’s up with this flippin’ heat! Love is ale we need, and we’ve found it in the form of a tube map just in time for International Beer Day on the 2nd of August, courtesy of StoreKit being much less lazy than us and doing all the dirty work – gosh, give ’em a pint! They’ve rounded all of the best pubs near tube stations to sink a cheap as chips pint and it’s easy to navigate too. Hurrah!
As you may know if you’re a Londoner, or a poor tourist, our pints are pretty spenny! In fact, The Independent shone a light on just how spenny we’re talking, with one pint on record costing a whopping £22.50. Speedway Stout is sold by The Craft Beer Co, which has bars across the UK and, to be honest, it must be made from fairy dust or something at that price. Cor!

We’re kinda in two minds about whether to park our bums in, well, parks! Mainly because it’s smoking hot outside, so a fan seems like a smoother alternative but then how do we get a tan?! Gosh. The dilemmas we face. However, if you do fancy venturing into the wilderness then find out list of parks with awesome cafes just here!

Ok, Ok, granted this image doesn’t exactly reflect a pool by night – but try finding people swimming about at midnight that doesn’t include some sort of Spring Break angle. Hampton Pool is in fact running midnight swimming lessons and we ain’t kidding! It’s in a heated pool, don’t worry, so you can butterfly yourselves silly and stay warm at the same time.
