The Handbook
The Handbook

One of London’s most stylish bloggers, Nathan Rollinson, aka The Rollinson, is rarely seen without a statement pair of velvet slippers or funky pair of tailored trousers, not to mention perfectly coiffed hair. Impeccable dressing naturally leads him to drink and dine in some of the city’s most glamorous venues and neighbourhoods, from The Ivy to The Dorchester. We caught up with the man behind the blog (and almost 100,000 Instagram followers) to see how he would spend an ultimate day of luxury – here is his guide to luxe London venues.

The Wolseley

The glamorous Art Deco interiors of The Wolseley offer the freshest croissants and roasted coffee – the smells waft around the room during the mornings. I love the atmosphere and the interior is truly eye-catching. Their very own ‘Wolseley’ pancakes are to die for.

Where: 160 Piccadilly, London W1J 9EB, United Kingdom
Nearest station: Green Park (0.1 miles)

The Ivy Chelsea Garden

Spring has sprung at The Ivy Chelsea Garden. The garden at the back of the restaurant remains very discreet and the interiors are suitably fashionable for its Chelsea location. There is a whole selection of mouthwatering food to choose from, but my choice is the tuna tartare!

Where: 195 -197 King's Road, Chelsea, SW3 5EQ

The Lanesborough

Afternoon Tea

Old school charm meets opulent glamour at Michelin-starred Céleste at The Lanesborough and their afternoon tea, created by created Pastry Chef Nicolas Rouzaud, is the most exquisite I’ve ever had. The interior is decorated with Wedgwood blue jasper and gilt accessories, along with oversized crystal chandeliers.

Where: The Lanesborough, Hyde Park Corner, SW1X 7TA

Bob Bob Ricard

Cross the Orient Express with Russia, and you get Bob Bob Ricard. The sassy atmosphere is combined with hearty comfort food – of which the chicken pie is my favourite (especially when accompanied with Champagne). A polished gold frame above the table saying, ‘Press for Champagne’ makes life so much easier…

Where: 1 Upper James Street, Soho, W1F 9DF

Rosewood London

Scarfes Bar at Rosewood London is inspired by the unique atmosphere of a drawing room and the sophistication of a gentleman’s club. Featuring a roaring fire, a collection of cosy velvet armchairs and shelves filled with over 1,000 antique books hand-picked by a Portobello antique dealer, it is rated one of the best bars in London for its innovative drinks and artworks by Gerald Scarfe. Try out their long list of cocktails – I’d strongly recommend the ‘Sipping with Churchill’.

Where: 252 High Holborn, WC1V 7EN
