Last month was a great month for TV, with shows like Happy Valley and The Last of Us dominating most of the streaming conversation. Things aren’t letting up in February, either- there are romcoms to make the most of Valentine’s Day, mysterious thrillers and a particularly strong month for Netflix original movies. Here’s our list of the best stuff to stream this month:

extraordinary - movies coming out in february 2023

Available now on Disney+, Extraordinary is a sitcom where having superpowers is considered ordinary. In this world, everyone gets superpowers that appear some time after turning 18- everyone except for Jen (Máiread Tyers), who’s 25 and yet still hasn’t gotten a power. This leads her to feel increasingly isolated and fed up, especially when she applies for a job interview and has no power to put on her CV. Despite her troubles, she has a team of supportive roommates: Carrie (Sofia Oxenham), Kash (Bilal Hasna) and a shapeshifting cat/human named Jizzlord (Luke Rollason). The British comedy is fun yet relatable and also features Robbie Gee, Ned Porteous, Eros Vlahos and Derry Girl’s Siobhán McSweeney.

You Season 4 Part One

You’s fourth season arrives on Netflix on 9th February. The dramatic end of season 3 (spoilers!) saw Victoria Perdetti’s Love Quinn killed off, and Joe (Penn Badgley) forging a new identity and escaping to Paris. Season 4 however will be mostly set in London, the first time the show has moved out of the US, with Joe now sporting a beard and finding a new set of characters to get mixed up with. One of these is Kate, played by Ghosts and Call the Midwife star Charlotte Richie. The show also features Tati Gabrielle (returning as Marianne Bellamy), Lukas Gage, Tilly Keeper, Sean Pertwee, Amy-Leigh Hickman, and Stephen Hagan. Oh, and it’ll be split into two parts for extra murder-y goodness.
