8 New October Foodie Openings To Know

Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be room for another restaurant in London, the city goes and proves you wrong by announcing (another) new pizza spot, an Indo-Chinese fusion restaurant that brings together Kolkata cooking with Hakka recipes, a highly anticipated new spot with acclaimed chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen at the helm, and lots more. Here’s our list of the most exciting new openings this October:
China Bistro
China Bistro is set to open in Ealing Broadway this October with a bold take on Indo-Chinese cooking, which is all about bringing together Kolkata and Hakka techniques that celebrate the flavours of India. From momos to wok dishes, and robata-grilled specialities, there’s a lot to look forward to. Stars on the menu include the togarashi wagyu, chicken basil dumplings, honey-drizzled darsaan and more. The interiors have plenty to talk about as well, with olive-green interiors inspired by ancient Chinese warriors and live dim sum counters to keep you entertained.

Rosi
Launching at The Beaumont Mayfair is one of London’s most exciting new spots – Rosi, which is led by acclaimed chef Lisa Goodwin-Allen. The Michelin-starred chef will reimagine culinary classics, so you’ll find nostalgic snacks like chipolata sausages and crisp crudités, or elevate your meal with King’s Beluga caviar or rock oysters. Starters include dry-aged beef tartare, a seafood cocktail and gin-cured melon. On the main menu, there’s corn-fed chicken Diane, John Dory fish fingers and chicken kyiv and an old-fashioned pork pie that pays homage to traditional British favourites.

Martina
London is ushering in yet another pizza place, and yet we still want to visit them all. The team behind Marta Chelsea is now opening Martina, a Roman pizzeria. There’s not much information on what the menu will have to offer, but you can expect hand-rolled pizzas and carefully selected ingredients served in a communal dining area – plus, we hear there might be a disco ball involved.
