11 London Openings To Look Forward To In 2025
From a gastropub serving world-class cuisine to a Vietnamese restaurant bringing Saigon street food to London, there’s lots to look forward to this year. A much-adored restaurant (loved by celebrities in London) is coming back on the scene, and Gordon Ramsay Restaurants are finally opening up in Bishopsgate early this year. La Môme London
If you’re looking to chase away the January blues, this new French restaurant is just the place. Opening this month, restaurateurs Ugo and Antoine Lecorché will bring the glamour of the French Riviera to The Berkeley with La Môme. A must-visit spot when visiting Cannes (much loved by movie stars and tourists), La Môme is known for its fun but stylish atmosphere and excellent Mediterranean dishes served with a glamorous spin. Kêu Borough
Launching this month, Kêu will be bringing classic Saigon street food to Borough at their fourth London location. On the menu, don’t miss the signature bánh mì served alongside an expanded menu featuring an exciting variety of new noodle and rice dishes. The new location will also be open for extended hours, to cater to late-night noodle cravings. Situated between London Bridge and Borough Market, the new Kêu will offer premium noodles that you can watch being hand-pulled using techniques straight from Saigon’s Chinatown. Also notable is that the layout of the restaurant has been designed to emulate the fast-paced energy of a street kitchen, creating an atmosphere that whisks you away to the busy streets of Vietnam.

TAMISé
The latest addition to Park Hyatt London River Thames‘s impressive collection of dining and drinking outlets, TAMISé Wine Library and Tea Lounge, launching in February, is set to offer a cultivated approach to wine and tea indulgence. With its elegant ambience and stunning waterfront views, TAMISé features a professional wine cellar and tasting room, where guests can enjoy both intimate moments and vibrant celebrations in a unique day-to-night setting, in addition to a special afternoon tea experience launching later this year.

The Prince Arthur
As far as gastropubs are concerned, this one looks like a winner. With two sections – “The Pub Below” and the “Restaurant Upstairs”, The Prince Arthur is the kind of place that works equally well for a relaxed evening over drinks or an intimate date night. The pub is a modern interpretation of a tavern, and it will even serve its own caviar, created in partnership with The London Caviar Company. At the restaurant, look forward to craft ales, fine wines, the perfect pints of Guinness and fine British produce served in Basque-inspired dishes, cooked over the grill.

Noisy Oyster
Bringing to the table a fresh, modern take on a seafood bistro. Noisy Oyster will be located in the heart of Shoreditch and promises a unique dining experience. Think mini martinis, a playful seafood-centric menu and distinctive interiors. The restaurant is from the team behind Soho’s Firebird, so you can expect some great things. The menu focuses on sustainably sourced seafood along with simple, seasonal vegetable-based dishes and an excellent list of cocktails and wine to look forward to as well.

Brasserie Adeline
Brasserie Adeline will be a contemporary, all-day brasserie, serving a menu of classic comfort dishes and delivering the energy of a bustling neighbourhood institution. There are generous Northern European influences threaded through the menu, with techniques such as curing and smoking. The restaurant will seat 76 within a spacious dining room full of natural light, plus an additional 24 in a separate bar space and a street-side terrace for alfresco dining.

Voyage with Adam Simmonds
The Megaro Hotel has announced a late January 2025 opening date for its new signature restaurant, Voyage with Adam Simmonds. Relaxed and informal yet sophisticated, Voyage with Adam Simmonds is inspired by Scandinavia in terms of cuisine and interiors and you can expect dishes which will change according to the seasons – look forward to oysters with fermented apple and white asparagus, celeriac, yeast, oakmoss and walnut; venison with ember-roasted beetroot, blackberry vinegar and thyme crumb and roasted koji barley ice cream served with hazelnut milk and sobacha.

Alba
If you’re looking for your next favourite Italian restaurant, Alba should be on your radar. This new spot opening in Knightsbridge, opposite Harrods, is all set to bring a taste of the Amalfi Coast to London with an authentic Italian menu (we’re talking everything from risotto to plenty of truffle, caviar, wagyu and yellowfin tuna). Expect the space to have real citrus trees so you can just pretend you’re on holiday in Italy, and we’re looking forward to some inventive twists on the menu to keep things exciting.

Mr Porter
Amsterdam’s Mr Porter Steakhouse, Bar & Lounge is coming to London this year. Located at 22 Park Lane, you can expect an extravagant menu set in a sleek environment with the bar offering a high-energy atmosphere with its signature 360-degree layout. The entire vibe is designed to encourage guests to mingle while enjoying inventive cocktails served till late. This will be the fourth Mr Porter site, with locations in Amsterdam, Barcelona and a pop-up in Ibiza.

Alfonsina
Alfonsina is set to be one of our new favourite South American restaurants, opening this month. At the helm is Ricardo, an Argentinian chef with Italian and Lebanese roots who is all set to serve an exciting menu that goes from traditional to inventive. There will be room for forty diners, with a terrace and bar area to be added on soon after the opening. Plus, for drinks, look forward to pisco sours and margaritas, and plenty of craft beers and wines which pair perfectly with Latin American cuisine.

Himi
Chefs Tamas Naszai and Tomoko Hasegawa, who ran the omakase restaurant Roji in Mayfair, will open Himi this month, and we’re very excited for this one. Translating to the “taste of Japan”, Himi will be modelled after Tokyo’s izakayas, so you can expect this to be a relaxed atmosphere with excellent Japanese food.

Shakara
Modern West African restaurant, Shakara, brings the flavours of Nigeria, Ghana and The Gambia to the heart of Marylebone. With Masterchef: The Professional’s (2020) semi-finalist Head Chef Victor Okunowo at the helm of the kitchen, Shakara promises to showcase authentic African cuisine through a modern lens. This first iteration of Shakara provides exclusive private dining with a thoughtfully curated menu of exceptional African cuisine and fine mixology. Signature dishes include Jollof rice and native blue lobster with pepper soup bisque and tagliatelle, among others. Consultant Executive Chef Ayo Adeyemi, formerly of Michelin-starred West African restaurant Akoko, was also involved with curating the menu, so you can expect great things.
