It’s not been that long since we told you about Francesco Mazzei opening Radici, but now the Italian chef is on to opening his next restaurant as he sets his sights on Battersea Power Station.
Part of Circus West Village and joining the likes of Vagabond, The Coffee Works Project, The General Store and No.29 Power Station West, Ben’s Canteen, the new restaurant Fiume (Italian for ‘river’) is the latest restaurant from D and D London.
Whilst Francesco will oversee it, Fiume will be run by Head Chef Francesco Chiarelli. The two have worked together for over five years, first at L’Anima and then at Sartoria and not only do they share the same name, but they also share the same Calabrian heritage and Fiume will showcase a classic Italian menu.
Designed by Macaulay Sinclair, the 120-cover restaurant will feature an open kitchen, a wood-fired oven, bar counter dining for fifteen guests and a terrace for fifty of you to dine al fresco.
It’s right by the Thames (now you see why it’s called Fiume) and overlooks the piazza, think how good that’s going to be…
