Statement Necklaces

Add some high-octane glamour to your party looks this season with the return of the statement necklace.

For years we’ve been waxing lyrical about dainty everyday jewels that will add the finishing, subtle touch to all your looks, but this party season sees the return of the statement necklace and we’re here for it. Bold, chunky necklaces are everywhere right not and feed into AW22’s fashion mood that more is more. Think oversized pearls, the chunkiest of gold chains and crystals and chainmail that cascade down to the bust. Looking for other fashion favourites? Check out our fashion section.

WATERFALL CHOKER NECKLACE

Silver jewellery is giving gold a run for its money this season and we love it worked into this statement look. From cascading waterfall chokers at Anthropologie, Zara and Mango (they’ve all taken cues from Isabel Marant’s cult design) to a cross-over diamanté style at Stradivarius and a tamer pearl-encrusted offering at Mango, a statement silver necklace is the cool girl’s way to work the trend.

The icy colour palette pairs perfectly with monochrome colour palettes, whether that’s with a black blazer + white shirt combo or an ’80s inspired off-shoulder cocktail dress.

Golden touch…

If gold is more your thing, there are plenty of conversation starter pieces around at the moment. We love the simplicity and contemporary feel of Zara’s simple wide band choker, but for something more eclectic, Cult Gaia’s rose gold-tone choker is a work of art all in itself. Wear it with everything from a white shirt to layered over a fine-knit black polo neck.

Simple and chic but with the power to transform the faithful jeans-and-a-nice-top failsafe, Zara's wide golden choker will add a polished finishing touch to your party looks this season.
