Victoria Beckham's New Netflix Documentary Is Here

When David Beckham got an eponymous Netflix documentary last year that offered a behind-the-scenes look at his life and career, fans were left craving a closer look at the life of Victoria Beckham. And that’s exactly what Netflix is doing. VB’s doc has just dropped, and it looks like a must-watch.

About the documentary

VB took to Instagram to share the first trailer for her new three-part Netflix documentary, and it looks like a goodie.

“I think there’s real strength in vulnerability, and that’s really what this documentary is about,” Victoria shares in the caption. “from the Spice Girls, to the highs and the inevitable lows that have shaped me along the way. I have never forgotten where I came from…. I’m so excited to give people a glimpse behind the scenes of the businesses I’ve been building for the past two decades and celebrate the remarkable people who bring it all to life. I’m endlessly thankful for them and excited for all that’s still to come.”

I think there’s real strength in vulnerability, and that’s really what this documentary is about.

Like Beckham, it offers an intimate look at her life and how she manages both her time at home with family and her growing fashion empire, and goes behind the media frenzy to the real Victoria Beckham.

Of course, everyone knows how she became a household name in the first place, with the Spice Girls becoming a massive sensation in the late ’90s and reinventing pop music forever. It’s not easy to reinvent yourself when you get to that level of fame, but Posh Spice went from pop singer to fashion icon, and she and David would become a power couple for the ages. And don’t worry, there’ll be plenty of focus on her fashion and beauty business, and almost certainly appearances from her family.

The announcement

“in the most ✨posh✨ news ever, a victoria beckham documentary series is now in production!,” reads Netflix’s Instagram post announcing the news. “the series will follow her reinvention as a creative director of her own brand — offering exclusive access to victoria, her fashion and beauty business, and her never-before-seen archives.”

As of right now, the documentary currently doesn’t have a title, but it is set to be a companion piece to Beckham, which hit the streaming service last year to much fanfare and at spawning least one viral internet meme. Where that series looked at the highs and lows of Becks’ life and times on the football pitch (and in the media), the Victoria series will focus on how she successfully transformed from Spice Girl to fashion icon.
